The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor In Middle Of Custody Fight – Sons Battle Over Christian — Will Adam Raise His Boy?

Young and the Restless Spoilers-- Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)

Christian Miller is Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) real name on The Young and the Restless. He assumed a new moniker in order to break away from his father’s (Albert Miller, played by the late George Kennedy) legacy. Years later, the young boy who wears this victorious man’s name, Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), is central to a battle between Victor’s two sons.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the older brother. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) therefore is the younger. Certainly, many viewers of this daytime drama and readers of this comprehensive soap site can relate to sibling rivalry within their own lives. Of course, as Y&R is a soap opera, the elements of family conflict are exaggerated for effect.

Christian is Adam’s biological child. Victor determined that was true during the time when Justin Hartley (Adam) was playing his younger son.

Y&R Spoilers– Christian Is Adam’s Son

Nick didn’t fully confirm the full truth about Christian until a most unlikely person, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), helped him to do so. With Adam apparently being gone, it didn’t impact Nick’s ability to raise Christian as his own. So, life in Genoa City, Wisconsin, carried on.

The latest recast of the character Grossman is now playing includes Adam’s understandable desire to be with his son. Victor has been trying to tell Nick that for weeks, but he won’t listen. However, the reappearance of Adam’s notorious duplicity may push Victor to side with Nick.

Legally, this may not be a clear cut issue. Adam’s biological claim isn’t disputed, but Nick’s importance in Christian’s life is undeniable. This would seem to be an instance where some form of shared custody would be ruled, but Adam plays dirty, as Victor knows.

Young And Restless Spoilers– Will Adam’s Past Hurt His Custody Case?

Nick can cite Adam’s many crimes. But what of Nick’s morph into J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) last year in order to torture his father and the purposeful use of Newman Enterprises’ contacts and personnel to create Dark Horse?

One would think that Adam’s capture of Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) could be passed onto to Nick, via Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). That evidence would likely dissuade anyone from believing that Adam would be a good influence on a child, most especially his son.

The coming return of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) must surely play into the fight these Newman siblings are about to wage as well. But Victor’s earned power and influence could also be a decisive factor, as it often has been before.
