‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Adam And Nick’s Battle Reignites – Phyllis and Chelsea Involved

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) remains intent on winning Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) heart back. But that plot point alone won’t serve to reignite Y&R’s brother battle.

Instead, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who’s often, if not always, linked to trouble herself, will spark Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) infamous temper. He’ll learn what Adam wants Phyllis to do and with that both lady’s names that have been referenced will be drawn into this renewed sibling skirmish.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Applying Past Event To Present Situation

Nick and Chelsea grew apart in the fall. But winter’s arrival saw them bond romantically, even as Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) evolving mental health issues kept Chelsea tied to Adam at the penthouse.

While Summer Newman (Hunter King) didn’t agree with the comparison her dad made, it was applicable. Nick recalled Phyllis needing to take Summer, who was a child at the time, for treatment in Europe. That was necessary because Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) purposely made sure Phick’s daughter came in contact with peanut butter, which created a serious allergic reaction.

Super Girl, Nick’s nickname for Summer when she was a child, received the specialized medical care she needed, the character was later SORAS’d, and Nick and Phyllis’ relationship endured for awhile. Morrow’s character believes the lesson from that past period compels him to be more understanding of Chelsea’s situation with Connor now.

Y&R Spoilers – Chick Appears To Be Doing Well

Chelsea and Nick still care deeply about each other. They are also still on board with forming the Chick family as soon as Connor’s issues are fully resolved. The problem with that hopeful outlook is that Mackey’s character continues to move into more challenging territory because his problem, unlike Summer’s, is mental and not physical, and thus far has proven far tougher to handle.

Just when it seemed that the Christmas season could lead to Chelsea renewing her bond with Adam, Grossman’s character made a proposal to Phyllis. It appears as though he struck a truth chord in his frenemy, because Phyllis responded vociferously to Adam’s suggestion that she pursue Nick.

Nick’s awareness of the above will lead Chelsea to at least consider if Phick could revive? So, Chick’s seeming renewed spark could go out, even though it doesn’t feel that way.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Alone For The Holidays

Phyllis, like anyone who has loved and lost, feels vulnerable during the holiday season because she’s alone. Along with professional setbacks, the self-proclaimed phoenix did burn out earlier this year, but hasn’t rise from the ashes as promised.

Adam didn’t know it, but he rattled Phyllis’ mind and heart with his crass proposal. Her immediate impulse is to strike back against him, which creates a further roadblock in front of his already shaky Chadam reunion plans.
