Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) was relieved to see Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) alive on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. It appeared that he’d died after falling into a vat of hydrofluoric acid.

Thomas explained that he’d merely taken a dip in cleaning solution, as the acid was removed by the HAZMAT crew Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) was overseeing at Forrester Creations. Viewers and Hope were wondering if a dream sequence was being presented. But no, Atkinson’s character had survived yet another perilous adventure that was related to his perceived romantic pursuit of Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) adoptive mother.

Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) called it earlier this month when he told Hope that she shouldn’t put herself back in Thomas’ path. But that’s what her efforts to secure Douglas’ parental rights have done.

There’s no doubt that the extra layer of protection Hope has legally created, in getting Thomas to sign the shared custody arrangement, increases Douglas’ chances of living a better life. However, tied to Hope’s mothering role is a renewed and even strengthened tie to Thomas. That spells trouble.

B&B Spoilers – Even A Good Person Can Keep A Secret

The header to this section represents the gist of what Thomas told Hope after explaining how he’d survived the vat-fall. Hope instantly realized that he wanted her to believe he was dead for a short amount of time, which appeared to be a day when using B&B’s clock.

Thomas’ point was valid, though twisted. When faced with what he believes was a similar scenario, Hope chose to remain silent about Thomas’ death. She, like Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), purposely withheld the details of what happened in FC’s storage room from Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) after he came to the house frantically searching for Thomas.

Instead, Brooke and Hope opted to relay the inappropriate suggestion Thomas made on that night. While his request drove the drama to the vat, it was only part of the story and preserved the secret that Thomas was believed dead.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – So, What Happens Now?

Thomas reiterated that he wants Hope to be Douglas’ mother. He called it the greatest gift he could ever give.

Meanwhile, Brooke’s encouragement to keep Thomas’ presumed death a secret puts her in a major bind. Whether she’s able to talk her way out of what Ridge learns remains to be seen. ‘Bridge’ is surely further destabilized by the latest incident involving friction between their children.

Hope’s understandably shaken state makes her unable to process all that’s happened. She’ll need time and the support of her mother and Liam to determine what happens now. The power of the unknown is fierce because Thomas remains unstable while Hope is still trapped in his world.
