‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Brooke Isn’t Ready To Forgive Thomas — Can Bridge Survive?

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) won’t lay off her soon-to-be ex-husband on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. Yes, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) continues to take a verbal beating from the love of his life.

While Brooke’s pointed advice, which generally isn’t requested, is fully right, it’s also not working. So, it’s past time for her to change her outlook and approach. This won’t be easy to accomplish but is best.

Following the lead of the son-in-law she fully distrusts, Brooke must alter her course if she hopes to reverse the divorce path ‘Bridge’ is on. It’s possible the divorce still happens, but even if so at least Brooke will endure less stress.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Praise For Steffy Forrester Reinforces Stance

Ridge said he was proud of his daughter. Normally that would be something Brooke would be glad to support.

Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hasn’t actually found forgiveness, or at least not as much as Ridge thinks. After her grandfather weighed in on the possibility of Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) returning to Forrester Creations, he asked his adopted son to speak.

Kaye’s character offered his thoughts but felt Steffy should make the decision. So, he deferred to her. Ridge’s later tell to Bridge about Steffy finding forgiveness for Zoe left Brooke exasperated, while also reinforcing his stance that Brooke should search her heart as well.

Brooke realized that Ridge wasn’t going to change his belief. Despite all he’d learned about Thomas’ actions, he was not going to allow him to face justice, or secure the professional mental health treatment his son definitely needs.

The problem with Ridge’s stance was and remains that he sees Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) as a child. But the character Atkinson plays has been an adult for years.

Viewers know that Ridge’s instant, defensive response to her raising the Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) incident was fully revealing. If Ridge is willing to cover a crime, as Brooke believes he’s doing, then all trust between this once happy couple has truly been lost.

Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Time To Move Forward With Life

It’s not reasonable to believe that Brooke should be willing to overlook at that Thomas did to her daughter, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and most importantly, her granddaughter, Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson). Yet that’s what Ridge wants.

His unwillingness to implement Brooke’s suggestion, that Thomas needs mental health treatment, verifies that he’s concerned about the diagnosis. That’s an untenable position for Brooke. So, she needs to move forward with her life, while continuing to hope and pray that Ridge develops his feelings. Until then she should offer no further advice as well.
