Meghan Markle Fighting Internet Diet Pill Scammers

Meghan Markle Fighting Internet Diet Pill Scammers

It appears as though there’s a fake Meghan Markle making the rounds on the internet. There’s a new report that says the Duchess of Sussex’s image is being used without her authorization for a new online advertisement that is promoting postpartum diet pills and as you can imagine, the Queen is none to happy about it. Here’s what you need to know.

Meghan Fighting Online Scammers

The ad for the diet pills apparently pulled some of Meghan’s quotes from an interview for Entertainment Today, which according to some eagle-eyed observers, does not exist. The ads have Meghan as saying, ““All my life I’ve been passionate about taking care of my weight due to the pressures of Hollywood to stay young and look fit. For the last 10 years I’ve been travelling the world and sourcing organic ingredients and weight loss remedies.”

Needless to say, Meghan has no official association with the adverts or the diet pills for that matter. According to Britain’s The Sun, a source said, “This is obviously not true and an illegal use of the Duchess’ name for advertising purposes. We will follow our normal course of action.”

The Queen Gets Involved

If that weren’t enough, there’s another fake advertisement that claims Meghan Markle will get in trouble with the Queen for disobeying her orders.

Clearly, the adverts have not been improved or endorsed by the Duchess of Sussex herself. As a matter of fact, many royal fans have praised the Duchess for apparently taking it easy with her postpartum weight loss and focusing more on her son Archie Harrison than her appearance. Many royal fans even noticed that Meghan is taking a very slow approach and is in no rush to lose her weight behind the scenes.

Buckingham Palace Wants The Adverts Pulled Down

Of course, Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the controversy, but at this point it’s doubtful that she will say anything. Instead, the Queen’s team at Buckingham Palace are hard at work making sure that the adverts are taken down from the Internet as quickly and as swiftly was possible.
