General Hospital Spoilers: Will Old Embers Spark When Stella Runs Into Marcus?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) will run into her old flame Marcus Godfrey (Nigel Gibbs) again after several weeks of not being seen on the soap. Now that Mike Corbin (Max Gail) has become a full-time resident of Turning Woods, the Alzheimers’ care facility where Marcus’ wife Yvonne (Janet Hubert) is also a full-time resident, both of them are at the point in their Alzheimer’s that soon they may not even know each other.

Although Marcus will likely remain true to Yvonne until her death, and Stella would agree that he should, will old embers begin to spark within Stella and Marcus in spite of themselves, and a bad case of love sneak up on them?

General Hospital Spoilers Marcus Had Moved On But Never Forgot

Stella and Marcus were engaged as young people when Stella chose to end the engagement and  care for her two nephews, Tommy and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), when her sister became ill. Marcus, in the meantime, had been given a great opportunity as a young police cadet and took a job in another city.

Stella didn’t want to drag him to Detroit, where she was moving so she could care for her nephews, and mess up his budding law enforcement career. Even though he moved on with Yvonne and was happily married to her for many years, Marcus never forgot Stella and the love they shared. Stella also never forgot, and maybe never got over, Marcus and the love she had for him.

GH Spoilers Will Marcus And Stella Rekindle Their Romance?

General Hospital fans would think that the GH writers have more in store for Marcus and Stella then just waiting until Yvonne passes away. There has to be more of a reason to keep Marcus on the GH canvas besides tangling with Mike over jealousy when it comes to Yvonne.

Since none of the GH characters involved have been permanently written off and no actors have left the show, could a twilight years romance be far behind? Stay tuned to GH and keep watching General Hospital spoilers to see what happens with Stella and Marcus!
