General Hospital Spoilers: Will Laura Appoint Mac Scorpio As Interim Police Commissioner While Jordan Recovers?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Mayor Laura Webber (Genie Francis) might appoint someone with police commissioner experience to take over for Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) recovers. General Hospital viewers will recall Laura’s discussion with Jordan about appointing someone to take her place in a recent General Hospital episode, and the perfect person to do so lives right there in Port Charles!

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall that Mac was either Police Commissioner or Police Chief for many years, between 1996 to 2012, when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) took the office. However, Anna will not be available to cover for Jordan because she’s out of the country for a few months while Finola Hughes takes her annual vacation which usually is around three months.

Mac, as longtime General Hospital viewers also will recall was heavily involved in the original Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) case back in the 1990s even before becoming Commissioner Sean Donely’s (John Reilly) successor, who had the job from 1992-1996.

GH Spoilers– Will One Of The Scorpio Brothers Take Over Jordan’s Job?

In the event Mac wouldn’t want the job, his older brother Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) would fill the shoes quite well also, with all his WSB spy experience. That would give Robert something to do while Anna’s gone on vacation if he doesn’t get involved with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) trying to track down Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) as they discussed the other day, although Robert may be more of the mind to prevent them from tracking Dante down!

General Hospital Spoilers– Laura Will Have To Find Someone To Take Over!

That plan may have to be delayed for Maxie to help Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) get Crimson’s budget straightened out to their new boss Jasper Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) satisfaction anyway, as well as fit in time to go visit Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) and family anyway.

Hmmm….Robert might want to butt in on that trip too…maybe Laura should keep him busy as the interim police commissioner, and let Mac be an advisor and work with him!
