‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: An Emotional Anna Finds Out Alex Lied

General Hospital Spoilers: Anna Devane (Finola Hughes)General Hospital spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will be emotional this week on General Hospital. But will she be emotional because she is unsure if she is ready to move forward with her boyfriend Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), who wants to propose marriage? Or will she be worrying about something her twin Alex has lied about?

According to an article in the Hot Plots Preview section in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Finola Hughes gives General Hospital fans a pretty good idea about what she will be upset about. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will interrupt Finn and Anna as Finn tries to propose to Anna. And Robert will have news that Alex lied about memories she told Anna happened to her, Alex, instead of Anna.

Anna is afraid her daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) is really her niece and that she is the child of Robert and Alex. She tells both men her fears, and while Robert says she’s crazy, Finn finds validity in the theory. While poor Anna herself goes down a rabbit hole! The more she tries to find the truth, the more confusing the truth will become.

General Hospital Spoilers – Robert Scorpio Didn’t Know Robin Even Existed

To some longtime General Hospital viewers, and especially those who also watched the canceled ABC soap All My Children, where the character of Alex was introduced when Robin was in college overseas over on GH, this may actually make a lot of sense.

Robert didn’t know Robin existed until she was seven years old, and she showed up having been raised to believe that Anna was her aunt. Apparently, she had been raised by her grandmother but this grandmother was not named.

At the time, Robert and Anna were believed to have been killed in a boat explosion and so Robin was with her grandma. Alex and Anna were separated at birth, with Alex being raised by a woman named Charlotte who kidnapped her at the hospital where the twins were born.

She later put Alex into a brainwashing facility disguised as a mental hospital and trained to be a spy by a terrorist organization that sounds suspiciously like the General Hospital DVX. Alex was also brainwashed to believe she was Anna and sent to kill her.

General Hospital Spoilers – It’s Not Clear Who Was Really Raising The Child

But when she realized that Anna was her twin when she finally found her, being cared for by an old man named Bart (Ralph Waite), Alex’s doctor training kicked in. She nursed Anna back to health, with the help of her husband Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader). Alex and Anna’s real mother is sometimes referred to as a woman named Filomena, although some accounts say she was a friend of Anna’s. So it is really not clear at all who was raising Robin up till the age of seven.

It is worthy of noting that in a recent episode, Anna, when talking to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about his PTSD and possible brainwashing problems, told him she had once been brainwashed. But there is nothing in Anna’s history to indicate that she had ever been brainwashed.

Viewers don’t know if Anna’s brainwashing memory is Alex’s memory or if Anna is truly even Anna. And this is going back years ago depending on when the memory transfers done by Dr. Arthur Cabot (Time Winters) were done, and if GH writers are saying the AMC brainwashing facility is where all this took place!

General Hospital Spoilers – Anna Devane’s Marriages Were All Short-Lived

General Hospital viewers can be certain that Robin was born in the late 1970s. Robert and Anna were married from 1977-1978 that time (unless it was Alex impersonating Anna, and he wouldn’t have had a clue about it). The second time they were married was from 1991-1992, and we know Robin is older than that.

Robert may have a valid point about Finn keeping up with Anna and her running off. He and she only had one year or less marriages and she was only married to David Hayward (Vincent Irizarrry) for one year. Even her marriage to Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) only lasted for two years.
