General Hospital alum Nathan Dean Parsons

Nathan Dean Parsons is keeping himself busy after leaving the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital as Ethan Lovett. Parsons landed a new exciting gig in the upcoming Jeremy Camp biopic titled, I Still Believe.

He will be joined by another GH alum Nicolas Bechtel, who played the role of Spencer Cassidine. Gary Sinise of Forrest Gump and Apollo 13, singer and actress Shania Twain, and KJ Apa of Riverdale have also joined the cast.

GH Alum Parson’s New Role

Parsons will take on the role of Jean-Luc La Joie, a close family friend of the Camps and the lead singer of The Kry, a popular Christian rock band. Apa will portray Jeremy Camp while Britt Robertson, who’s known for her roles in Girl Boss and For The People, will play Jeremy’s wife and musician, Melissa Henning. Sinise and Twain will be Camp’s parents, Melissa Roxburgh as Heather, Melissa’s sister, and Tanya Christiansen as Heather and Melissa’s mother.

The filmmakers of I Still Believe were also the ones behind the biggest indie hit of 2018, I Can Only Imagine on Erwin, Andrew Erwin, and producing partner Kevin Downes are at the helm of the project, that’s been approved by Lionsgate. The Erwin brothers, who will direct the film, and Downes will produce the film under their Kingdom banner. The film, written by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, is set to premiere on March 20, 2020.

The Movie Will Reveal Key Points Of Jeremy Camp’s Life And Career

The upcoming film delves into the adult life, musical career, and love life of Jeremy Camp. For those who don’t know him, Camp has more than 32 hit Christian songs. He has sold over 5 million albums and toured 36 countries. He received four RIAA-certified Gold albums, two American Music Awards nominations, and multiple ASCAP awards.

Just like everyone else, Camp has his own set of ups and downs. In 2001, less than a year after they tied the knot, he had to endure the death of his wife Melissa due to ovarian cancer. In 2003, Camp remarried to Adrienne, who was the lead vocalist of the South African Christian band, The Benjamin Gate. The couple went through a lot of trials in life including the loss of their unborn child, but they still held a strong faith in God.
