Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Can Sarah Forgive Xander? Villain Had Good Intentions, Just Misguided

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) has done a lot of evil things since his character was introduced. These days we are seeing his evil side soften up a bit. However, he isn’t exactly considered a good guy either. Recently, the actors discussed whether Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) can forgive her love interest.

DOOL spoilers confirm Xander is trying to be a man that does the right thing. However, he is tested by his family, enemies and circumstances. It seems that trouble seems to follow him everywhere he goes. If anything can change a man, it is true love. Fans have seen some of this character evolution with Xander, who was once considered Salem’s ultimate bad boy.

DOOL Spoilers: ‘Good Girl’ Sarah Horton

As for Xander’s love interest, Sarah is one of the good girls. She always tries to be ethical and moral. However, this was tested a bit when she hid baby Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s (the May twins) true paternity. Her goodness and Xander’s evil ways are what make “Xarah” such an interesting couple.

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Xander was willing to do anything to save Mickey when she was kidnapped. This included writing out a confession in exchange for the safe return of Sarah’s baby. Other events led to him avoiding prison time and he burned the confession. Of course, Sarah knows none of this but in time, she will find out.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Is Forgiveness Possible?

In the latest issue of CBS Soaps In Depth, Telfer explained Xander’s extreme measures in order to save Mickey after she was kidnapped.

“I wouldn’t call it heroic, but what he did to save the child was an undeniably good act that wasn’t compromised by self-interest or gain. It’s the first truly selfless thing that he’s done, and it changed both him and her [Sarah] perception of him.”

When Godfrey was asked if Sarah could ever forgive Xander, she teased that it’s a soap, so eventually, forgiveness is a given. She explained that Xander had good intentions, he’s just a bit misguided.
