Coronation Street News: Sally Dynevor Will Take On Mt. Everest To Raise Money For Prevent Breast Cancer

Coronation Street Spoilers: Sally Metcalf (Sally Dynevor)“Coronation Street” star Sally Dynevor is set to climb Mt. Everest 10 years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Known as Sally Metcalf on the ITV soap “Coronation Street,” Dynevor will travel to Nepal  this Autumn to take on Mt. Everest for a good cause.

The 55-year-old actress is embarking on this exciting yet challenging adventure to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer, which she serves as a patron.

“Me and my husband Tim love going to the Lake District and walking,” Dynevor told The Mirror. “We’ve talked about doing Base Camp Everest all our married life, so when the charity said, ‘Do you fancy doing it?’ I said, ‘Oh my God. That would be the perfect challenge.'”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Trek To Mt. Everest Will Last 12 Days

The trek will last for 12 days and take Dynevor to an altitude of 17,600 feet. Apart from the cold, she, along with her team, will have to deal with altitude sickness as both temperature and oxygen significantly reduce on the way.

“I know it’s something I’m going to remember for the rest of my life, although I still can’t quite believe I’m doing it,” she said. “I appreciate every minute of the past 10 years and I think a great way to – celebrate that is to do something – challenging and out of my comfort zone and remind myself how lucky I am.”

On “Coronation Street,” Sally Metcalfe was just released from prison after being falsely accused of committing fraud. She has just started to get her life back on track. However, she still has to deal with her sister Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde) after her betrayal and attempt to steal her husband.

There has been a lot of bad blood between the two. But they eventually face other and have a serious talk. Gina had a wake up call and decided to meet up with her sister, after her husband Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) suffered a mild heart attack.

At that time, Gina was bombarding her with countless text messages and Tim’s health scare seemed to have pushed her to talk to her sister.

Gina and Sally managed to clear the air and make up. However, Gina had already decided to leave Sally in peace. She packs up her bags and leaves Weatherfield after the siblings exchanged their final goodbyes. Will Gina leave “Coronation Street” for good or will Sally find a way to convince her sister to return?
