The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Counters Phyllis – Shick Stronger Than Phick

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Sharon Counters Phyllis – Shick Stronger Than PhickSharon (Sharon Case) is determined to prevent history from repeating on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Aware that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) wants to prevent Nick (Joshua Morrow) from considering a ‘Shick’ reconciliation, Sharon continues to counter the moves of her longtime nemesis.

Tenured Y&R viewers recall that Sharon lost to Phyllis (then played by Michelle Stafford) in the mid-2000’s. Nick, Sharon’s husband at the time, was the person taken.

The love of Sharon’s life abandoned her after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) was tragically killed. Nick then allowed himself to become involved with Phyllis.

‘Phick’ formed and Summer (Hunter King) was born. That tied Nick to Phyllis for life, but not forever in matrimony. While both characters moved on to other people since that era, Nick currently has positive relations with the character Tognoni now portrays.

Many people, not just Phyllis, are opposed to Nick’s decision to move back to the cottage, where he and Adam’s (Justin Hartley) son are living. The Adam reference is important due to a storyline flip.

Sharon has historically been on the wrong side of paternity arcs. However, in this instance, she played the heroine. Sharon’s realization that Adam was Christian’s father compelled her to tell Nick the truth. That massive news drop came after Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) knocked Sharon out.

Phyllis believes that Nick’s return to ‘Shick’s’ initial home on the Newman estate establishes an eventual reunion between Sharon and Nick. Phyllis doesn’t know that they’ve already kissed and that Sharon also asked Nick to get his own place, a request that she later rescinded.

Momentum appears to be on Sharon’s side. But Phyllis’ gut-feel is right, all is not cemented. In order to prevent Phyllis from butting into their personal business once again, Sharon has and will continue to do all that’s necessary to block Miss Summers.

Whether a potentially reforming ‘Shick’ is strong enough to overcome ‘Phick’s’ friendship bond is intriguing. Spring shows will prove how much progress can be made by either of the women who still care deeply for Nick.
