The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Gunning For Jabot CEO Spot – Billy Confronts New Enemy

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Gunning For Jabot CEO Spot – Billy Confronts New EnemyWith the blood-Abbott clause gone, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is eligible to become Jabot’s Chief Executive Officer on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Billy (Jason Thompson) will surely attempt to sabotage her elevation, if it happens and then remains in tact.

Kyle (Michael Mealor) thought that if he waited long enough, time would allow him to snare the top spot. No. He’s not qualified to run Jabot.

Despite her years of varied professional experience, Phyllis also wouldn’t be the right choice to head this company either. But that common sense point isn’t preventing what’s seen this week on Y&R.

It’s odd to think that Jack (Peter Bergman) wouldn’t want to return to the helm. Despite all that just happened with Ashley (Eileen Davidson), character continuity alone suggests that ‘Smilin’ Jack’ should be back in. Yet, he’s apparently not.

Does a developing storyline seem plausible, or is it being offered purely as a creative alternative to past plot instances? The above paragraph suggests that the smell test hasn’t been passed. Seeing another CEO sit in what once was John’s (Jerry Douglas) chair would be very unbelievable. Not just somewhat implausible, but an extreme stretch of logic.

How could a supposed major cosmetics company survive business industry rumors about its stability through so many leadership changes over the past few months? And, wouldn’t Jabot’s competitors be publicly bashing the Abbott family enterprise? The answers are it likely wouldn’t and yes.

How about Victor (Eric Braeden)? That vulture is ever-ready to descend on a weakened opponent. Braeden was off-cast on a personal vacation during the period in time that’s been shown to the audience.

So, the ‘Moustache’ has conveniently (for Jabot) not been around. Meanwhile, Vickie (Amelia Heinle) continues to be caught up in the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) mess.

As longtime fans recall, Jack built a blood-block years ago so that Michelle Stafford’s edition of Phyllis couldn’t make a play for power at Jabot. In the fall of 2018, Traci (Beth Maitland) suggests that a non-family member run the show. Let’s see how, or if, this goes.
