The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: J.T. Comeback Fears Grow – Cameron Kirsten Reference Gaslights Y&R Fans?

The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: J.T. Comeback Fears Grow – Cameron Kirsten Reference Gaslights Y&R Fans?More money, more problems on ‘The Young and the Restless’. If the Newman family were like the Simpsons, an undead J.T. (Thad Luckinbill), or a gas-lighter wouldn’t be interested. But Victor’s (Eric Braeden) global conglomerate and his family are under attack and no one truly knows why.

Seasoned soap fans suspect a head fake. An increasing number of characters are pushing the J.T. must be alive scenario, including those who were part of the cover up crew. So that could mean J.T. is still dead, or some type of alternative scenario is unfolding.

If J.T. has an evil twin, well, that’s another storyline. Though maybe the dark doppelganger was pretending to be J.T. from the jump. But if that was true, why would the real J.T. be acting as he is now? Yes, these theories can be confusing.

There are Newman family members who don’t know that J.T. was seemingly killed by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and then unceremoniously buried by her, Vickie (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Sharon (Sharon Case). In the real world, those naive individuals would be pursing a naive goal in believing that J.T. is on the run, can be captured and then forced to face justice. In this soapy world, they might be right and their efforts could pay off!

Vickie responded to Sharon’s doubts about J.T.’s death. Sharon referenced Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), as proof that someone who is assumed dead could be living. Only old-school fans would the depth that reference implied. At the same time they must have been considering if Y&R’s writing staff was making the J.T. comeback story far too easy? The answer to the last question seems to be a strong yes.

It’s plausible to believe that J.T. could have exhibited an undetectable pulse. But he was buried under many pounds of dirt at Chancellor Park by a quartet of ladies who appeared to linger at the mock grave site.

How would Luckinbill’s character have subsequently moved at least a few feet of earth that was layered on top of him? That scene would be ripped from a ‘Passions’, or ‘Dark Shadows’ script because it surely wouldn’t be believable to Genoa City observers.
