The Young and the Restless RECAP Thursday, October 25: Jack Offers Ashley Money For Patents, She Refuses, Wants To Be CEO

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Thursday, October 25, 2018 reveals that at home, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) is on the phone to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), asking him to find a way to get him permission to see Lily. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) chats with Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Neil thinks they should head straight to the prison and do something about the situation.

Lily Feels She is Safer In Solitary Confinement

Cane Ashby and Neil Winters arrive at Walworth. Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) comes out for a visit. They talk about her stepping up for another prison and Lily assures them she’s safer in solitary. The warden wants to move her to a new prison so she will be moved tomorrow.

Traci Explains Why Dina Had The Contract Written Up

At the Abbott mansion, the family tries to take in what the document handing the patent rights over to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) means. Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) hands Ashley the contract. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) flashes back to arguing with Ashley when they were kids after their mom left. Back in the present, Traci explains to Ashley that Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) had the contract written in the 1990s to make sure she was looked after.

Kyle and Jack Admit They Shredded The Document

Ashley breaks down in tears and regrets some of the things she has said to her mother. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) admits that he shredded the contract. Then Jack admits he shredded it with him for the good of the company. Ashley accuses him of always taking things from her. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) gives Jack a lecture. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) says what Jack did was stupid, but this could open a floodgate to employee claims. Traci then lectures them. Billy points out that they don’t know the legality of the document.

Jack Thinks Jabot Is In A Death Spiral

Ashley thanks Traci and leaves to see her lawyers. Traci is sure that Ashley just needs to process this, but Jack is sure that she’s just destroyed the family. Billy refuses to pick sides and he is just worried about the company. Abby storms out. Jack thinks that Jabot is in a death spiral. Jack apologizes to Traci for what he said and wishes he had half of her faith in the family. She encourages him to just let Ashley have this. Traci talks about how this might have been planned to make them work together. They talk about when their mother left.

Over at Jabot, Kyle Abbott finds Billy in the office. They bicker and Billy storms off with a box of paperwork.

Sharon Asks Rey To A Movie

At Crimson Lights, Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) asks Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) if the blackmailer is done. Rey Rosales (Jordi Villasuso) comes in to get coffee. Sharon asks him out to a movie. He explains that he talked to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and doesn’t want to get between them. Sharon gets furious.

Billy Confesses What He Did To Victoria

Billy Aboott appears and chats with Victoria about what he did to Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni). She’s surprised he didn’t hit her up. He says it needed to be meaningless and it never would be with her. Victoria is glad he’s finished with his ‘combustible’ relationship and should look for something normal. He warns he’s going to outclass her with his Halloween costume.

Rey Evades Abby’s Questions

At the Athletic Club, Nick Newman and Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) have a business meeting. They chat about the how important family is. Nick quizzes him about Rey and Arturo assures him that he means well but can act extreme. Later, Abby Newman joins Arturo and vents about her family being selfish and vindictive. She brings up his brother and Rey Rosales suddenly appears. Abby questions him about wife, but he refuses to talk about his marriage.

Sharon Blasts Nick

Sharon McAvoy storms into Nick Newman’s office at Dark Horse and orders him to stay out of her life. He says he won’t stop worrying about her and still loves her. Nick promises to do better and he wonders if they can trick or treat together.

Jack Wants To Make A Deal With Ashley

Everyone returns to the Abbott mansion besides Ashley Abbott. Jack Abbott has talked to the lawyers and the contract is sound. They have to sit down with Ashley and make a deal. Ashley arrives. “I wish I could patent the looks on your faces,” she says. Jack wants to offer his sister an offer in line with what their parents would have wanted. Ashley doesn’t want money. She wants to be CEO.
