The Young and the Restless RECAP Monday, September 3: Lily Panics, Christine Asks For Maximum Sentence

“The Young and the Restless” (YR) recap for Monday, September 3, 2018 reveals that over at the Ashby’s, Lily Ashby (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) lay in bed and chat. Lily is worried about all the decisions that still need to be made in case she goes to prison.

Cane tries to reassure her everything will okay and they kiss and make love. After, Lily is upset thinking she may not get to come home and sleep in her in own bed with her husband. In the kitchen, Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander) and Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) admit their both upset, but gotta stay positive. Cane and Lily join them. Charlie fills them in on being back with Shauna Nelson (Camryn Hamm) and Lily is happy for him.

At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Shauna Nelson let’s Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) in and he is surprised to find out Devon left a note and is already gone. Nate let’s Shauna know it is okay to fill conflicted. Shauna feels everything is all her fault for having Charlie Ashby over that day and then running off. Shauna also knows her words could impact Lily Ashby’s future. Nate tells her to go with her gut.

Devon arrives. Shauna goes upstairs and Nate fills Devon in on Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) getting a call in the middle of the night that Sofia was admitted to the hospital. Devon then questions Nate if he is trying to influence Shauna, but he let’s him know he is just trying to show support. Nate does not want Devon doing anything he will regret and Devon is ready to go and get court over with.

At the courthouse, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) discuss the tragedy and Christine hasn’t rethought her stance on the case. Michael is hopeful for Lily Ashby and hopes Christine does horribly.

Nate Hastings, Devon Hamilton, Shauna Nelson are there when the Ashby’s arrives. Nate fills them in on why Neil Winters is not there. Once everyone is seated Lily’s panic starts to sit in. Things get started and Christine holds Lily responsible for the deaths of Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) and her unborn child. She wants the maximum sentence.

Michael asks for the court to show leniency and asks for then to give Lily probation and fines. Cane Ashby speaks on Lily’s behalf. He explains how he kept the truth from Lily about her running the red light. Shauna speaks and acknowledges that Lily did not purposely hurt Hilary. Shauna cries. Devon stands up and tells the court what Hilary meant to him. He understands those asking for leniency so one tragedy doesn’t lead to another, but advises the judge that Lily hated Hilary for years.

He wants her to receive the maximum penalty. Lily goes up next and expresses her regret for her actions and the pain she has caused. Lily would do anything to have Hilary and the baby back in Devon’s arms. The judge calls recess. The Ashby family and Nate gather and talk about Devon’s statement. Charlie wonders what is wrong with him still wanting the maximum punishment for Lily.

Cane pulls Devon aside and asks him if he will really feel better tomorrow with Lily in jail and her kids lives falling apart. He reminds him that he forgive Neil Winters for what he did to Hilary. Then tells him he still has time to make things right. The judge returns and has reached a decision.
