As you know, the extra length Neighbours episode will feature the return of many familiar faces, including homewrecker Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte), as well as the debut of highly anticipated character Rafael Humphreys (Ryan Thomas).
However, one of the biggest talking points of the Neighbours episode – which is directed by former Neighbours actor Scott Major – will involve some of the current Ramsay Street residents.
Neighbours spoilers tease that there will be a dramatic hit and run that could possibly leave one of our beloved Neighbours fighting for their life after being run over.
The episode, which is simply entitled ‘Hit and Run’, will be just the start of a whole week of explosive twists and shocking surprises.
Channel 5’s Commissioning Editor of Factual Entertainment Greg Barnett teased “If you’re a fan of Neighbours then you cannot afford to miss this special 10pm episode as, for the first time ever, it will be a brand new hour of spectacular drama. Who gets run over, who runs for their life and whose life ends up hanging by a thread…? All will be revealed in this nail-biting episode.”
Neighbours Executive Producer Jason Herbison added to this, stating, “As well as Izzy Hoyland’s explosive return, the special launches a gamut of exciting new stories involving all our current cast, some looking very different. A number of past characters will be dropping in and, of course, we’re delighted to have Ryan Thomas as part of the drama. Hit and Run’ kicks off a week of surprises, intrigue, desperation and of course romance, and there is more to come in the coming months.”
Viewers should check their regional television listings as the episode is set to air at various times and dates in different countries. In the U.K., the hour-long special will air on Monday 12th February at 10pm on Channel 5 – in addition to the regular daytime episode – making the total episode length 90 minutes. As the extra hour is set to air in the evening, we can expect a more dark and dramatic episode!
