Neighbours Spoilers: Shocking 2018 Arrival Turns Paul’s World Upside Down

Neighbours Spoilers: Shocking 2018 Arrival Turns Paul's World Upside DownNeighbours spoilers tease that there is more drama set to come for resident villain Paul Robinson this year, as his past comes back to haunt him.

As the only original cast member left on Neighbours, you would think that there must be a shortage of storylines for Paul (Stefan Dennis), but you would be very wrong. The soaps producer has promised that there is a lot more in store for the lovable bad boy this year.

Talking to Inside Soap, Jason Herbison teased “Paul’s back on top of the world- he’s got his money back, his kids back; it’s going well. But now he stands to lose it all… Paul has a colourful past, and there are some interesting chapters that remain unexplored.” Could he be talking of events that happened over the years between 1993 and 2004, when Paul was off our screens? With a vastly villainous past, one could only guess.

Jason praised the character of Paul and his Neighbours story arc, declaring, “It’s a goldmine for storytelling. Paul will be challenged by the arrival of a person who has a cross to bear, and [he] will be forced to revisit a period that he thought was long forgotten.” He also said, “The guy who turns up is from a period of time that Paul isn’t keen to revisit, but is forced to.”

The producer did not just leave it at that, he was kind to loyal fans and added, “Also, one of our all-time favourite characters from Neighbours 80’s period is returning. That will be a thrill for our long-time fans- and probably quite bemusing and fun for our newer viewers.”

As much as fans would love to see 80’s favourites such as Charlene (Kylie Minogue) or Scott (Jason Donovan), we think that’s a bit too much to ask. This still leaves many other beloved 80’s characters – so who ever it is that returns, it’s set to be an exciting (or troublesome) time for Paul!
