Gina Seddon Diagnosed With Major Illness in Coronation Street’s Major Storyline Twist

Gina Seddon Diagnosed With Major Illness in Coronation Street’s Major Storyline TwistWhile “Coronation Street” fans continue to watch Sally Metcalf (Sally Dynevor) in prison trying to prove her innocence, they should also expect a huge plot twist and that involves Gina Seddon (Connie Hyde) being diagnosed with a major illness.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Gina’s Testimony Does Not Help

Charged with fraud, Sally remains stuck behind bars while Paula (Stirling Gallacher) and Sophie (Brooke Vincent) try their best to have her acquitted. Meanwhile, Gina Seddon, Sally’s sister, will take the stand as a witness. But her testimony will hurt Sally’s case. Sally is more than willing to lie on the stand, hurting Sally’s case, all because of her love for her sister’s husband and naiveté for believing Duncan’s side of the story. Her ulterior motives and her feelings for Tim will soon be revealed but her actions will not tear the sisters apart.

Connie Hyde, who plays as Gina in the soap, shared that a plot twist will bring the sisters closer once more. When asked about her reaction to the storyline twist, she said, “I love Sally [Dynevor] so much – we’re best friends. So we both went, ‘Oh no!’. It’s not been Machiavellian, which was my fear at first, but it’s been the opposite of that and the story will run for a long time. There are different peaks and it’s very subtle, so I’m pleased with it.”

Once the verdict of Sally’s trial comes out, the sisters falling out will only be temporary because Gina’s unexpected illness will rectify their differences. Viewers have to tune in to find out if Sally is found guilty or not.

Corrie Spoilers – Gina Diagnosed With Serious Illness

Perhaps Gina is diagnosed with cancer and Sally will end up forgiving her for what she has done and stay by her side during this tumultuous time of her sister’s life. Fans who have carefully watched the soap will remember Sally’s own struggle in combatting cancer.

Sally was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and rediagnosed with the same illness last year. Given that Gina may also suffer from the same condition, Sally may decide to set their differences so they could fight cancer together.
