General Hospital alum Ryan Paevey is opening up about his new Hallmark movie, Hope for Christmas, and possibly returning to Port Charles.
The General Hospital actor, who is best known for his role as Nathan West on the hit ABC soap, left earlier this year to pursue other projects in the entertainment industry. But now the handsome actor is hinting that he might be looking to make his way back to daytime television. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital News – Ryan Paevey’s New Job
According to reports, General Hospital alum Ryan will soon be on our small screens again in his latest movie offering, Hope for Christmas. In the film Ryan plays Mac, an elementary school teacher from a small town in North Carolina.

Not only does he get to spend the holidays with his family, but he also gets to find love with a beautiful young woman named Rayanne. And for anyone who often watches Hallmark network movies, they know how that this romance will definitely have one exciting wild ride before their happy ending, just in time for Christmas!
“You’re not going to get gut-punched in the Hallmark universe,” the actor says, according to Soap Hub. “There has to be a place where things are happy. People say that’s not what the real world is. Nothing is!”

Will Ryan Paevey Return To General Hospital?
As far as Ryan’s future on General Hospital, the actor says that anything can still happen. Nathan might be presumed dead but even daytime television fans know that just because a character might be temporarily out of the picture, that doesn’t mean he’s gone forever!
“Maybe one of these days they’ll have Nathan come back and ‘ghost visit’ his family,” Ryan muses. “I’d love to come back and see my soap ‘fam’ and my soap fans anytime. If they were to reach out to me, the answer would be yes.”
