General Hospital Jason Saved Oscar, Gave Him Hope For Future – Will Drew Be Grateful To His Brother?

General Hospital’s Oscar (Garren Stitt) wanted nothing to do with his parents when he found out they lied to him. However, Oscar knew that Jason (Steve Burton) had “died” and come back and felt comfortable talking to him. Will Drew (Billy Miller) be grateful to Jason for helping or have a problem because Jason didn’t call him right away?

Drew Has Had Problems With Jason From Day One

General Hospital’s Drew Cain hated Jason Morgan even when he thought he was him. Drew hated Jason’s way of life. Drew hated Jason’s memories. Drew hated any comparison to Jason. Drew hated that his DNA matched Jason’s. Drew hated discovering he was “married to Sam (Kelly Monaco).”

Drew hated that Sam told him the truth about Liz (Rebecca Herbst). Drew simply came to Port Charles hating Jason Morgan. Drew loathes the fact that Jason is his brother as well. If Drew had his way, Jason would have stayed dead, and he would have continued to live his life. In many ways, Drew would have preferred to stay Jake Doe (Billy Miller).

Oscar Felt Betrayed By Both Parents

General Hospital’s Kim (Tamara Braun) has known about Oscar’s condition for years. Drew has known since Oscar’s hospitalization. Oscar finds out not from his parents but Cameron (William Lipton), who he considers a threat to his relationship with Jocelyn (Eden McCoy).

Oscar has to be wondering who else knows as well. Let’s be honest, Kim, Drew, Liz, Franco (Roger Howarth), Cameron, Sam, and Terry (Cassandra James) all know. Oscar has to feel like he’s the last one to know what is going on. Oscar was hurt, angry, and felt betrayed by both parents. Oscar ran away because of this betrayal. Oscar needed someone and Jason was there.

Jason Came Along Just In Time

General Hospital’s Oscar was ready to jump into the harbor when Jason got there. Jason stopped Oscar, and he confided in him. Jason made Oscar see that he couldn’t just assume that his time is up. Jason gave Oscar hope for a future. Jason encouraged Oscar to reunite with his parents and make things right. If Jason hasn’t come along when he did, Oscar could be dead.

Jason stayed close by to make sure Oscar was okay and even made she he left with Drew and Kim. If Oscar tells Drew and Kim why he contacted them, they should be happy that someone reasoned with him. However, Drew is not likely to do so. Drew has threatened to kill Jason over Danny (T.K. Weaver) and Scout. Drew has threatened Jason since his return home. Jason has done nothing but help Drew. Will Drew see past his hatred for Jason and thank him for helping Oscar, or will he be his usual dismissive self? Will Drew have the good sense to appreciate that Jason has saved Oscar twice now?

It is unlikely that Drew will appreciate anything Jason has done. Drew has never given Jason due credit for anything. However, chances are, Oscar would be dead already if Jason hadn’t come along. Hopely Drew can see past his issues and see that Jason helped Oscar more than anyone else. Maybe if Jason puts in a call to Robin and she helps save Oscar, Drew will give credit where credit is due.
