Days Of Our Lives RECAP Wednesday, July 18: Theresa Gets Bad News About Her Mom

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Wednesday, July 18 reveals,  Steve (Stephen Nichols) is in the hospital for testing. Roman (Josh Taylor), Adrienne (Judy Evans), John (Drake Hogestyn), and Marlena (Deidre Hall) are with him.

Steve’s Surgery Is Approved

Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is waiting for the results of the evaluation. Steve says he’s glad Stefan (Tyler Christopher) isn’t involved with the technology anymore. Steve wants to know about the sexual harassment suit and is told Leo (Greg Rikaart) disappeared. Adrienne tells everyone the judge will have to drop the case if Leo doesn’t show up.

Steve tries to tells everyone he doesn’t need them to wait with him, they do anyway. Kayla comes in and tells Steve that they want to go ahead with the surgery. Everyone is excited about the bionic eye, Kayla warns them that they don’t know if it will work. Everyone leaves so Steve can be prepped for surgery. Roman, John, and Marlena are talking in the square about Steve when Roman gets a call.

Marlena and John talk about their wedding. Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) tells Adrienne about J.J. (Casey Moss) getting suspended. Steve calls Tripp (Lucas Adams) to tell him about the surgery. Kayla takes Steve’s phone she’s going to scrub in on the surgery. Steve thanks Kayla for standing by him and he will always be grateful to her.

J.J. Ask For Kayla’s Help

Day Of Our Lives’ J.J. goes to talk to Kayla, he needs a favor. J.J. tells Kayla what happened with the drugs at the apartment. J.J. asks Kayla to talk to his boss for him. Kayla tells J.J. he traded one black mark for another. Kayla wants J.J. to go tell the judge he lied. J.J. tells Kayla that Theresa (Jen Lilley) will lose Tate if he does that. Kayla gets a call about the bionic eye.

Victor Fires Theresa

Days Of Our Lives’ Theresa comes downstairs and Victor (John Aniston) is waiting on her and fires her. Victor is upset because Theresa sued for full custody of Tate (Colin and Kyle Schroeder) and didn’t split him and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) up. Victor will let Theresa stay on at Bella if she agrees to joint custody, she refuses because of the drugs. Victor tells Theresa that Brady (Eric Martsolf) didn’t have anything to do with those drugs. Theresa tells Victor those drugs weren’t J.J.’s either.

Theresa tells Victor she won’t share custody with Brady. J.J. comes to see Theresa, she tells him Victor fired her. J.J. wants to know what Theresa is going to do now. Theresa needs to find a job, J.J. tells her he got suspended. Theresa tells J.J. this is unfair to him. Theresa asks about a policy where he has to get fired. Theresa offers to fix this for J.J., he tells her no, he has no regrets about this and would do it again. Roman comes up and asks to talk to Theresa alone, she tells him he can say anything in front of J.J. Roman tells Theresa he has bad news about her mom.

Brady and Jennifer Come To An Understanding

Days of Our Lives’ Brady is holding Tate’s bear when Jennifer shows up. Jennifer tells Brady it makes her sad that Theresa got custody and brings up the drugs. Brady tells Jennifer that he didn’t plant the drugs in J.J.s apartment. Jennifer tells Brady that J.J. said he lied to protect Theresa and she believes him. Brady tells Jennifer that addicts lie and she knows it.

Brady questions what Jennifer is worried about. Jennifer begs Brady to admit to planting the drugs, he swears on Tate’s life that he didn’t plant the drugs. Brady and Jennifer question how the drugs got there in the first place. Jennifer and Brady talk more about the drugs and he believes they aren’t Theresa’s either. Brady tells Jennifer he didn’t plant the drugs or have it done. Jennifer tells Brady this is something Victor would do. Brady doesn’t believe Victor planted the drugs because he wants her with Theresa. Jennifer vows to find out who planted those drugs, Brady does too because they cost him, Tate. Jennifer asks Adrienne to help clear J.J.

Brady Wants To Know Who Cost Him Tate

Days of Our Lives’ Eve goes to see Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) who is sorry that Brady lost custody. Eve tells Chloe she isn’t to blame for what happened. Eve tells Chloe if anyone is to blame for Brady losing Tate she is. Chloe wants to know how Brady losing Tate is Eve’s fault. Eve tells Chloe about the drugs found in the apartment. Eve tells Chloe that neither Theresa or J.J. are using drugs.

Eve tells Chloe that she didn’t know what Brady was doing. Chloe asks if Eve planted the drugs. Eve tells Chloe that she set the plan in motion. Chloe is disappointed with Eve for not telling Brady the truth. Eve tells Chloe she couldn’t stand by and let Theresa take Tate. Eve never meant for J.J. to get involved in this, Chloe says he’s protective of Theresa. Eve tells Chloe that the drugs were plan B, Chloe is afraid to ask about Plan A. Eve tells Chloe she was going to expose Deimos’ killer. Chloe pushes Eve to tell her who killed Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). Eve won’t tells Chloe who the killer is, but tells her there is a tape with the confession on it.

Eve tells Chloe the fall out would have been really bad if she had that tape. Chloe tells Eve it’s obvious why she feels responsible. Eve tells Chloe she would lose Brady if he knew she’s the reason he lost Tate. Chloe advises Eve to tell Brady the truth. Eve says Brady will never forgive her, he asks for what? Chloe tells Brady that Eve was telling her about the custody hearing.

Brady tells Eve he doesn’t want anything to do with Theresa. Eve tells Brady to forget about the drugs and focus on getting Tate back. Brady tells Eve that Jennifer is investigating this too. Brady tells Eve he doesn’t believe those drugs are J.J.s. Brady questions how the drugs got there in the first place. Brady tells Eve that Theresa wouldn’t have backed out of this agreement if it weren’t for those drugs. Brady vows to find out who caused him to lose his son.
