General Hospital RECAP Wednesday, July 18: Liesl Knocks Out Franco

General Hospital (GH) recap for Wednesday, July 18 reveals, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is ordering Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) to call in any favors she can. Jason (Steve Burton) comes in and asks about progress.

Michael Tells Sonny His Plan

Jason tells Sonny they have to get Carly (Laura Wright) out of there now. Sonny says Carly is making it worse. Julian (William DeVry) arrives at Sonny’s and gives him a picture of Charlie and Mike (Max Gail). Julian tells Sonny he found the picture in some old boxes. Julian wanted to know why Sonny didn’t tell him that Mike was friends with Charlie. Julian still refuses to sell the place to Sonny but Mike is welcome anytime. Sonny and Jason talk about forcing Julian to sell or taking him out. Michael (Chad Duell) shows up and tells Jason he’s about to take Nelle (Chloe Lanier) home and they need to follow through with the next step of the plan.

Sonny wants to know what the plan is, Michael tells him the less he knows that better. Jason advises Michael to tells Sonny the plan. Michael tells Sonny what the plan is. Sonny wants to know if Michael has considered all the outcomes. Michael tells Sonny that Nelle has to kill him before the will is filed. Sonny tells Michael that Nelle has cost Carly enough, if something goes wrong, she will go crazy. Michael tells Sonny this isn’t his problem. Sonny tells Michael there are better ways to do this.

Sonny tells Michael he trusts him but if he wants his blessing, he needs something. Sonny calls Chase (Josh Swickard) to his house and asks him about the plan to take Nelle down. Sonny tells Chase if the plan backfires, he will hold him responsible. Jason and Michael talk in the hallway outside Nelle’s room, he plans to file for custody and divorce Nelle.

Kim Threatens To Leave Julian

Julian goes back to the pub, he’s organizing boxes. Kim (Tamara Braun) comes to see Julian and shows him her ideas on the renovations, but he tells her things just got complicated. Kim tells Julian if this is going to continue they need to rethink things. Kim accuses Julian of trying to one-up Sonny and she won’t stand by while he slips back into organized crime. Julian offers to back off Sonny and put peace and space between them. Julian and Kim kiss and she goes back to work.

Chase Continues To Work Nelle

General Hospital’s Chase and Michael talk in the elevator and agree to move to the next step. Kim tells Nelle the baby is fine but she thinks she knows what caused her pains. Michael goes into Nelle’s room, Kim tells her it was indigestion. Kim congratulates Michael and Nelle on the wedding and leave. Nelle tells Michael she can’t wait to get out of here and start their new lives together.

Michael gets a text, he tells Nelle he has to go see Alexis about his will. Chase shows up in Nelle’s room and tells her he still has feelings for her and wants her to be happy. Nelle tells Chase he might be right about Michael, she found out he’s cut her out of his will. Nelle tells Chase that Michael is leaving everything to the baby. Nelle tells Chase that Michael is making sure she gets nothing if the marriage fails. Nelle asks Chase if he thinks Michael is setting her up. Chase tells Nelle to stop stressing and let herself be happy, she’s earned it.

Valentin Recognizes The Bartender

General Hospital’s Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) questions the bartender. Valentin remembers the bartender being the agent on the pier and demands to know who he works for. Valentin makes the bartender describe his boss and he figures out its Nina (Michelle Stafford). The bartender identifies Nina as his boss. Valentin wonders what Nina is up to.

Nina Plans To Turn Peter Lose

General Hospital’s Nina want’s Peter (Wes Ramsey) to go behind bars to protect him from Liesl (Kathleen Gati). Peter tells Nina that Robert (Tristan Rogers) will put him in a WSB prison for life. Nina tells Peter at least he will be alive. Peter asks Nina what will keep him from turning her in when he’s in custody. Nina tells Peter their brother is dead because of him. Peter agrees to Nina’s plan. Nina is trying to help Peter escape when Liesl comes in and catches them. Liesl tells Peter he has reached the end of his road.

Sam And Curtis Know Valentin Is Lying About Nina

General Hospital’s Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) show up at the hospital and want to ask Liz (Rebecca Herbst) about Franco (Roger Howarth). Sam and Curtis want to know about Franco’s relationship with Liesl, she tells them he went to the police. Sam tells Liz they just left the police station and Franco hadn’t been there. Liz tries to call Franco and he ignores the call.

Sam and Curtis leave the hospital, they need to find Liesl now. Sam and Curtis tell Valentin they are trying to find Nina. Sam and Curtis tell Valentin they think Liesl has Peter. Sam ask Valentin if he has any idea where Nina is, he says he does. Valentin tells Sam and Curtis that Nina used his jet to fly to Manhattan. Sam tells Curtis that Valentin is lying. Valentin goes to the launch to return to Spoon Island and hears Franco moaning.

Liesl Refuses To Listen To Franco

General Hospital’s Liesl and Franco meet, he knows what’s going on and wants to help. Franco tells Liesl that he knows she has Peter. Franco tells Liesl that Finn already told the police everything. Franco tells Liesl Wyatt is probably scarred for life. Franco tries to stop Liesl from killing Peter. Franco tells Liesl she will lose everything if she doesn’t take a step back.

Liesl tells Franco that her son is dead, her daughter is in prison, and the baby is better off without her. Liesl asks Franco what she has left. Liesl asks Franco what she will do now, Franco wants her to leave Port Charles and he will tell the police where Peter is. Liesl says she could never return to Port Charles, she tells Franco he’s a good friend. Liesl knocks Franco out with a bottle. Liesl apologizes to Franco and says she knows what needs to be done now.
