Laura Wright was born on September 11, 1970 in Washington D.C., and raised in Clinton, Maryland. Laura started out her acting career on the ABC’s daytime soap opera “Loving” in 1991.

Laura portrayed the part of Allison “Ally” Rescott Bowman. She also starred in “The City” as the same character, but you guys may remember her better by playing the part of Cassie Winslow on the “Guiding Light.” She is currently portraying the part of the feisty vixen Carly Corinthos on General Hospital.
Carly Corinthos is a very strong woman, who does not back down from anyone. She is always rising above anything that is thrown her way.
This is why she is a very beloved character, not to mention her complicated relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Laura Wright does an outstanding job portraying Carly. She can really make you feel what she is feeling in that moment and have you drawn into your television screen.
Laura Wright has been on General Hospital for almost 12 years now and we could never imagine anyone else playing the part. Laura Wright came in as a recast, but has really made the part of Carly her own. She is irreplaceable. Do you GH fans love Laura Wright? She does a phenomenal job.

Laura Wright married architect John Wright on October 7, 1995 and they decided to go their separate ways in 2016. They still remain friends and co-parent their two children Lauren and John.
