The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Unresolved Adam Newman Issues Reopened – Will Chloe Pay For Her Crimes?

The unresolved Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) issue is being addressed on ‘The Young and the Restless’. How much will be resolved and whether Hartley himself will be seen again somehow isn’t clear. However, Y&R’s intentional revisiting of this arc seems likely to provide some answers for all involved.

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had a few too many drinks at The Underground. That led to a talk while dancing with Scott (Daniel Hall), whose interest was piqued. Not smart Miss Mitchell, as Mr. Grainger is an investigative reporter.

With nothing to do, except potentially help Victor (Eric Braeden) write his autobiography in the near future, Scott has time on his hands. His professional attraction to intriguing stories has already led him to ask Nick (Joshua Morrow) questions about Chloe’s recent past. Then, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick are shown in a subsequent episode speculating about why the cabin blew up. Yes, many Wisconsin personalities are being drawn into this story.

Memory refresher for newer viewers, or a quick rehash for all others: Last September Adam was waiting in a cabin in the woods on the outskirts of Genoa City when Chloe unexpectedly arrived.

He’d previously escaped from police custody via Victor’s help. Chloe shot Adam with a dart gun and he quickly slipped into an unconscious state.

Viewers weren’t shown what became of Chloe until she later arrived back at ‘Chadam’s’ penthouse. Meanwhile, the cabin was shown exploding as Nick, Chelsea and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) arrived to pick up Adam. Patient fans still don’t know if Chloe caused the explosion, if she pulled Adam out of the cabin ahead of time, if Adam somehow survived the explosion on his own, if Chloe has been holding him hostage the entire time or if some other scenario happened.

Chloe’s inebriated rant, regarding her having taken control of her life six months ago lit a flame that hopefully resolves many unanswered questions. The characters in this fictional town deserve to know the truth, as do the loyal viewers who vicariously live through them.
