The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Plays Victor’s Song – Tessa Bothered By Queen’s Questions

‘Pikki Nikki’ (Melody Thomas Scott) initially rejected Victor’s (Eric Braeden) request that she perform in public on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But as the weeks have passed the Queen of Genoa City has relented and now wants to play the piano at a summer benefit concert. However, she reacted defensively after learning that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) was updating Victor about the matter.

No, Victor’s request had nothing to do with The Bayou Part 2. Instead he merely wanted the love of his life to prove to herself that she’s capable of playing into her passion. Music lives within Nikki’s soul, but she’s shied away from using her talent in recent years.

As viewers recall, Tessa became Nikki’s protege after she was discovered playing her guitar outside of Crimson Lights earlier this year. Nikki quickly paired Tessa with Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), as this newly introduced character became his music instructor.

Victor met with Nikki and Tessa in his office a handful of weeks ago. That meeting included a local VIP who was helping to coordinate Nikki’s upcoming concert. Victor asked Tessa, in front of Nikki, to assist Nikki with this pursuit. That’s why Tessa was thrown when Nikki aggressively questioned her being in contact with Victor.

Fairbank’s character is just getting to know Nikki and the interworkings of this fictional town. So she wasn’t aware that the nickname ‘Pikki Nikki’ is perfectly apt and that she’s simply the most recent person to be drawn into Nikki and Victor’s battles.

Tenured Y&R fans, along with all enduring characters in Genoa City are very familiar with Nikki’s sensitive nature. While she and Victor are surely soul mates, their personalities often clash, then they’ll make up and later clash again.

Tessa has entered this era in Y&R’s history during one of ‘Niktor’s alienation periods from each other. The ice has begun to thaw a bit within the last month, as Nikki appears to be moving back to her man. As for Victor, his desire to move back into the main house is currently tied to his interest in Nikki’s music life.
