‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Neil Wants Hilary Gone – Devon’s Crash Ended Ex-Husband’s Compassion

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Neil Wants Hilary Gone – Devon's Crash Ended Ex-Husband's CompassionNeil (Kristoff St. John) spoke with clear passion on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Jack’s (Peter Bergman) defense was rejected, as Neil told his friend that he wants Hilary out of his son’s life as soon as possible. Recent circumstances surely crossed the compassion line.

No one can blame Neil, as he nearly lost his son through a needless high-speed car crash that took place on New Year’s Eve. What was surprising is the manner in which he expressed his feelings to Jack in Devon’s (Bryton James) Genoa City Athletic Club’s lobby.

The heads of the Abbott-Winters Foundation were discussing a ‘reporter’s’ question about Devon’s use of alcohol and how that contrasted with the non-profit’s mission of responding to substance abuse issues. Jack didn’t like the position he was put in, as a result of Devon’s actions, and met with Neil shortly thereafter to discuss making a public statement. Neil voiced his opposition to doing so, based upon ‘Stitch’s’ (Sean Carrigan) day-of recommendations regarding Devon’s health.

However, Jack countered with a sobering fact; If the press found him, it surely would find ‘Hevon’ at some point in the near future. But, the owner of a website and his wife, who is its lead reporter, shouldn’t expect anything less. Right?

Surely, public relations issues might be stirred by Neil’s son’s actions. However, society can be forgiving if someone admits a mistake was made. Devon is a stand-up guy. So whatever questions he’s asked by the press will be answered honestly and therefore likely smooth over any gossipy issues.

Devon’s memory is slowly clearing. When all sights, sounds and emotions are fully restored, the realization of why he was recklessly driving his just-won sports car will certainly engender a reaction. Whether it’s the one his loved ones and friends expect is an open question.

‘Hevon’ is strong. Sometimes love is blind, at other times it’s an illusion. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will soon learn if the man she actually care for will forgive her, again.
