The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kevin Holds Chick Accountable For Chloe's Death – Greg Rikaart's Exit Begins

Greg Rikaart (Kevin) films his final scenes this month on the set of ‘The Young and the Restless’. His alter ego will last be seen on-screen in August. Learning that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is apparently dead begins his write-out.

This is soap, so it is reasonable to suggest that Chloe might be dead. She certainly looked as much lying on that slab in the morgue in Louisiana. But it would be very fitting and oh so daytimely (that’s a word, now) delicious if Kevin learned that Chloe was alive when Rikaart’s final scenes are shown later this summer.

An intriguing point of conflict was created by having ‘Chick’ pursue Chloe’s whereabouts. In so doing they became the trigger that pushed Hendrickson’s character over the edge. Kevin now blames them for what happened, which surely creates ongoing tension.

Victor’s (Eric Braeden) cryptic reference to Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) about employing the nuclear option meant something. Did the bad doctor drug her prior to leaving to meet Nick (Joshua Morrow)? If so, Chloe may have simply have spilled her pills as she was collapsing on the floor. It seems hard to imagine that bit of dialogue merely represented a red herring.

Dr. Harris wouldn’t have known that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) would break into his house while he was gone. But after finding her there upon his return it’s plausible to consider if a faked death scenario was created. ‘Moustache’ money makes all things possible.

Y&R viewers know that Victor was motivated to do anything in order to silence Chloe. Moving her to another location against her will would have been most feasible if she was unconscious. The invented death scenario is countered by the manner in which Victor is acting, as he genuinely seemed surprised when Nick called to tell him the shocking news.

Kevin just began the healing process. He was handling all that happened with Chloe by convincing himself that the love of his love was safe and had given him the gift of confirming that Bella (Gia Poeme) was his daughter. But now that he thinks she’s dead he’ll need to seek closure by digging into the details surrounding her demise. That plot vehicle will drive Rikaart’s summer swan song.
