The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Junior High Jack and Pikki Nikki Deserve Each Other – Drama King and Queen Reign

Could Jack (Peter Bergman) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) be any more self-involved on ‘The Young and the Restless’? Well, their egos are boundless. So maybe. And that’s just one reason why this childish couple deserves each other.

Oh poor Jack. Did Victor (Eric Braeden) hurt your feelings, or school you in business again? Yeah, thought so.

Jack has lost to Victor personally and professionally on countless occasions for one undeniable reason. Victor is stronger.

And how about you Nicole Reed? Yes, that’s the last name you never use; not by itself, or hyphenated. Vickie (Amelia Heine) should be ashamed of herself for branding her first-born son with such a weak moniker.

Bayou’s top-rated diva certainly never would have lived her life of total privilege had Victor never been fooled by her looks. But, like many poor souls throughout history this great man was and thus his doom ensued.

Tenured viewers know, ‘Jikki’, ‘Nack’, or whatever one prefers to refer to this pair as has been married in the past. They were going to have a child, but an unfortunate accident at the Ranch caused John Abbott III’s death. Who was blamed for that? Yes, Victor.

Y&R fans remember when Jack and Adam (Michael Muhney) framed Victor by writing a false diary. Fake news long before certain personalities began pushing stories to distract the masses from the left to the right coasts (and in Alaska and Hawaii).

Now, as the summer of 2017 rolls Victor finally seems to have come to his senses. He’s severed ties with his albatross and is properly punishing Nikki’s namesake (Nick, Joshua Morrow) as well.

So, what does Nikki do the moment her money pit sets her free? Why she runs to Jack because he’ll pay attention to her and is also rich. ‘Junior High Jack’ is totally on board with that because stealing Victor’s girl makes him giddy.

And, as this snarky scribe admires the words that flowed above he sits with his hands folded, smiling like an extra on the Genoa City set pondering one question. Will the readers think it’s all in jest?

Soap fans are loyal and savvy. They know that they’re the reason Jack, Nikki and Victor exist. Not extensions of their own lives. Instead, exaggerated characters who enable dramatic rides and sometimes, belly laughs.
