The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Evidence of Juliet's Plan To Setup Cane Emerges – Testimony Contradicts Reality

Juliet (Laur Allen) seemed suspicious on ‘The Young and the Restless’ from the jump. However testimony she’s offered during the deposition confirms a deeper plan. Julie may not have been planning to set up Cane (Daniel Goddard) up from the beginning. But she’s certainly lying in an attempt to win money now.

When pressed Juliet said that Cane forced her into his hotel room, implied a quid pro quo and that she was more ashamed of what she agreed to do in Tokyo than of anything else she’d ever done in her life. All three points directly contradict what she initially told Cane after both characters returned from Japan.

As viewers recall, Cane was genuinely shocked to learn that Juliet had spent the night with him. Juliet actually tried to assuage Cane’s angst by telling him to lighten up and forget what happened. She said she’d keep his secret, meaning their night together rather than some type of forced promise.

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) coerced Juliet to file a lawsuit against Brash and Sassy. She also referred Miss Helton to Leslie (Angell Conwell) to ensure a hardball lawyer handled the proceedings. Hilary’s motive, as is often the case, is to cause trouble and then broadcast that gossip on GC Buzz.

Juliet wasn’t omniscient. So she couldn’t have known that she’d eventually be fired by Victoria (Amelia Heinle) for an event that happened awhile after the ill-fated night. Juliet also wouldn’t have known that Hilary would overhear a conversation with Cane and then attempt to manipulate the situation.

It’s reasonable to believe that what Juliet said during the deposition means that she did leverage her interpretation of what happened in Japan into Cane’s support of her career. Content with having then gotten a job at Brash and Sassy, Juliet planned to do nothing more until Vickie fired her for a shaky reason.

Yes, Juliet’s anger at being terminated is justified. But the manner in which she’s lied about the sake-induced situation can cause observers to believe that she’s purely seeking revenge against her victim, Cane.
