Hollyoaks Spoilers: Sarah Jayne Dunn And Gary Lucy Make Hollyoaks Comeback
Good things come to those who wait, as Hollyoaks fans just learned! Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that she and Gary Lucy are reprising their characters beginning next week. The best part? They’re returning as a couple! The popular stars’ alter egos, Mandy and Luke, will delight fans when they hit town on Monday’s episode.

The lovely 35-year old actress spilled the beans on This Morning, saying that both she and Lacy are thrilled to return to the soap they debuted on as teenagers. Dunn said that she wasted no time saying “yes” to showrunner Bryan Kirkwood earlier this year, when he asked about a possible return.

Dunn has been gone for six years, and Lucy for 15 years. With that amount of time having passed, Dunn promises that there will be much drama to unfold when the characters return to Chester as a couple.

For one thing, Dunn teases that headstrong and stubborn Mandy has hit a bit of a rough patch. Mandy made her first appearance on the Channel 4 soap in 1996 as a teen set on becoming a model.

The character triumphed through many trials and tribulations along the way, including several unsuccessful relationships, a failed marriage, and the loss of a child due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Lucy got his big acting break on the soap for which he won the Best Newcomer award at the 2000 British Soap Awards. Luke also had challenging times on the sudser, and he became a fan favorite before Lucy departed to expand his acting portfolio. The talented star’s next big role was in Footballers’ Wives where he played multifaceted Kyle Pascoe.
