General Hospital News: Maurice Benard Gets A New Job!General Hospital star Maurice Benard has scored a hot new job!  the Sonny Corinthos portrayer and ABC soap opera fan favorite has scored a role in a new Mickey Rourke movie.

According to International Movie Database, Maurice Benard will be starring in “Nightmare Cinema,” which is set to hit theaters in 2018.  Benard will be playing the part of Father Benedict.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Maurice’s new movie is a horror film that “centers on a group of down-on-their-luck individuals who enter the decrepit Rialto Theatre. Their deepest and darkest fears are brought to life onscreen by The Projectionist (Rourke), a mysterious, ghostly figure who holds the nightmarish futures of all who attend — and cannot escape — his screenings.”
