Emmerdale Spoilers: Carly Hope’s Shocking Exit From The Dales

The rumor is true: Carly Hope will leave “Emmerdale,” but the scandalous reason remains shrouded in mystery. What could cause Carly to up and leave, breaking little April’s heart in the process?

Viewers are about to see the aftermath of Carly’s shock exit when Marlon struggles to explain her departure to several people who demand to know why she suddenly left the village.

Does it have anything to do with Marlon waking up on Lydia’s nightgown? Say what? Believe me, no one is more surprised at this strange scene than the Woolpack chef himself!

Unsure just what has transpired (we have a pretty good guess) Marlon races out of Lydia’s house and later tells young April that Carly won’t be coming back. The little girl is understandably upset at the revelation, and promptly blames Marlon for the departure.

Things go from bad to worse when April and Vanessa hear Lydia talking about Marlon’s drunken visit. When they also hear her say that Marlon kissed Laurel, it fuels their anger toward the hapless man, and they conclude that this is why Carly left. A desperate Marlon then attempts to extricate himself from the sticky situation by saying he did not kiss Laurel and even if he did that’s not why she left!

Viewers know that Carly has had difficult times recently. Her turmoil was set off when she got an unexpected visitor in the form of Matt, her ex-boyfriend. Marlon is not at all happy about Carly reconnecting with Matt, and he subsequently works himself into a lather imagining what is transpiring between the two ex’s.

Could Marlon and his anxiety over her relationship be the reason that Carly departs the village? No one likes to be second-guessed, but Marlon doesn’t seem able to give her the benefit of the doubt nor the level of trust she deserves.

The question on everyone’s lips is not just why Carly fled, but if she ran off with Matt!
