EastEnders Alum Ben Hardy Actor Set to Play 'Queen' Drummer - Will Peter Beale Be Recast

Peter Beale has had many faces in EastEnders but the most recent was Ben Hardy. Who left in 2015 to pursue larger acting opportunities. The young man starred in the Hollywood blockbuster X-Men and is now set to continue his path to fame. He will now be starring in a show called Bohemian Rhapsody which will follow the band Queen’s success story and rise to fame.

Ben Hardy is set to play the role of Roger Taylor, the drummer. Which is a main part in the show. He will be alongside other huge stars as Rami Malik has been cast to play Freddie Mercury. He was chosen by bosses after only a few screen tests and has become fully committed to the role. He has been seen learning to play the drums before the show begins to add authenticity to his performance.

The show is yet to hit the stage but it is set to be a hit with music from Queen being the focus of the show. It will no doubt be a success with such large stars and nostalgic music.

It is quite a different scene for Ben Hardy going from the little Square to Hollywood, a real success story. It is unlikely that he will ever return to Walford.

So, what will happen to Peter Beale? Will he be recast yet again, it is not unusual for the show to bring in new actors for old characters. Or will this Beale stay as dead as his sibling Lucy. He is currently off traveling according to the Beale’s who have had rather a tough time in his absence, the loss of his sister not a compelling enough reason to come home. There could be potential for an explosive storyline if he was to return as his son is still on the Square.
