Soap Opera Ratings Week of October 9-13: CBS Y&R Takes Gigantic Leap – Positive Week for all Soap Operas!

Soap Opera Ratings Week of October 9-13: CBS Y&R Takes Gigantic Leap – Positive Week for all Soap Operas! The Soap Opera ratings for the week of October 8 through October 13, 2017 have reported by Soap Opera Network.  There were no pre-emptions or breaking news that interrupted this week’s flow for the daytime soap operas and although all soap operas gained in total viewership; two seemed to be lacking interest in women viewers aged 18-49.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES

NBC’s DOOL rose to 2,124,000 in total viewers, up 36,000 from the previous week and was one of the two soap operas to be on the plus side for women 18-49, gaining 14,000 and settling at 335,000 in total. The storylines were pretty intense, especially this week when Nicole (Arianne Zucker) runs off to meet Eric (Greg Vaughan), professing her love for him.  Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) continues to talk to his son, Will’s (Chandler Massey) ghost as his infallible ex, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) makes her epic return to Salem.

GENERAL HOSPITAL

ABC’s GH gained 9,000 in total viewership, resting at 2,514,000 and also gained 21,000 among women aged 18-49.  This week was a tough one to watch as fans, along with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) loved ones, commemorated the anniversary of his death.  Ava (Maura West) continues to be the thorn in many people’s side, showing up unintentionally at the memorial.  Michael (Chad Duell) decides to investigate Nelle (Chloe Lanier) but doesn’t like the disturbing news PI Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gave him.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

CBS’ B&B sits at 3,510,000 in total viewership, up 2,000 from the previous week, but lost 1,000 viewers in women 18-49.  Could the lack of viewership be because Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) continues to mess with Eric (Jon McCook) and Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) marriage?  The Spencer men continue to be locked in a power struggle when it comes to Spencer Publications with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) caught in the middle.  Liam (Scott Clifton) continues to support Sally (Courtney Hope), causing another rift in his marriage.  Will all the manipulating that is going on, destroy some beloved unions?

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

CBS’ Y&R made a massive leap in total viewership, raising 209,000 and settling at 4,370,000 viewers.; oddly it was the soap opera at the bottom of the leaderboard when it came to this week’s women 18-49 viewers, dropping 8,000.  Hilary (Mishael Morgan) continues to be trouble when it comes to the Newman family, while Nick (Joshua Morrow) is hooked on seeking revenge on his father, Victor (Eric Braeden) and his mother, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is stuck doing damage control.  Graham’s (Max Shippee) connection to Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is revealed and wreaks havoc on Ashley’s special event.  Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) pleas to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) not to move in with Noah (Robert Adamson) fall on deaf ears.  Will Mariah ever be with the one she truly loves?

How do you feel about all the storylines that happened this week and how would you rate each daytime soap opera?  Please let us know!
