Weekly Soap Ratings August 8-12: Y&R New Low Women 18-49 – B&B Total View Ratings Up, GH Ratings Drop AgainThe soap opera ratings for the week of August 8-12 have been posted by Soap Opera Network and ‘The Young and the Restless hit yet another new low with women viewers ages 18-49. The Bold and the Beautiful had a seesaw ratings week and General Hospital ratings dropped across the important demographics.

Days of Our Lives

Please note – ‘Days of Our Lives’ will be preempted from Friday, August 5 through Friday, August 19 for the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. ‘DOOL’ will return with its new season on Monday, August 22.

General Hospital

GH total viewer numbers are down with 2,526,000 for the week of August 8-12. That represents a loss of 63,000 viewers, the third straight week the daytime drama has dropped in the ratings. Women 18-49 tuned out again with 404,000 watching the soap opera. That represents a loss of 17,000 viewers in that demographic.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Total viewer ratings were up for B&B with 3,721,000 watching the soap opera. That is an increase of 92,000. However, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ ratings dropped with women 18-49 with 507,000 watching the week of August 8-12. That represents a loss of 29,000 viewers in this demographic

The Young and the Restless

Y&R ratings are done in both important demographics. Soap Opera Network reports that 4,441,000 total viewers tuned in. This represents a loss of 150,000 viewers and the second straight the daytime drama has dropped in the ratings with total viewers. The Young and the Restless reached another new low in the ratings with women 18-49. For the week of August 8-12 there were 546,00 women viewers ages 18-49 tuned in. This represents a loss of 26,000 viewers. This is the third second straight week the soap opera has lost viewers in this demographic.

Young and the Restless fans are concerned with the continued drop in ratings. The daytime drama’s ratings for total viewers and women 18-49 were at a standstill for the week of July 25 through July 29. For two straight weeks Y&R has reached new lows with women viewers 18-49.

      If the writers keep up with the crap they are writing than Y&R will tank. I have stopped watching thou I read the post. So very Sad.

      GH dersevers those crappy raitings have you seen these storylines =__=…
      JASON and SAM having a baby… when SAM doesn’t watch DANNY everyone else does… makes no sense..
      this is what happens when you give the role of JASAM too much FAN SERVICE and attention…
      meanwhile… we have to wait for the CLAUDETTE STORYLINE and we waited till THURSDAY and FRIDAYof last week just to see it =__=… makes no sense….. to even air them that late in the game and LOMP it on the JASAM days =__=…
      more than half of the audience doesn’t even like JASAM and these raitings prove it.. we should have a had a FULL HOUR of the CLAUDETTE and NATHAN Storyline =__=.. on friday…. they cast JASAM and have other characters that about JASAM almost every day… =__=.. i thought this show was CALLED GENERAL HOSPITAL.. what does a BRAIN DAMAGED EX HITMAN.. and female THOT-CON artist have to do.. with the circrumfrence of the WHOLE SHOW as it is acknowledged to be what we know as GENERAL HOSPITAL.. case closed.. if JASAM needs their HAPPY ENDING be done with it.. so the SHOW can go back to giving us better storylines.. it such a forced CHEMISTRY relation….the scenes even look werid and dry…. and boring it’s like watching day care childrens scene when they cue in on the music for the jasam moments.. it just feels so fake.. i don’t know how Steve Burton could stomach that role on GH since 2009-2012.. no wonder BURToN left he probably won’t return till the role of SAM is long and gone.. i’m pretty sure give it 2 years after that role of sam is gone.. Burton would return to reclaim his role.. i mean.. the storyline as DYLAN for Y&R.. is so.. GAG =__= how does JASON THOMPSON get a higher role on that show while SB has been on Y&R that much longer… =__=… than him.. they should just kill off Dylan and make SB a new role on Y&R just for us to take whatever else he does next on Y&R seriously,… i can’t even begin to watch Y&R it’s just not the same anymore… =__=…
