Victor (Eric Braeden) vehemently denied that accusation and even portrayed himself as defending his namesake’s reputation in court. But, viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ know that Victor, Junior’s instincts were right. That’s what makes Victor Senior’s appeal to return to Newman Enterprises so intriguing.

Adam, like countless family members and frenemies, is attempting to read the Mustache’s mind. It’s natural that he’s confused, again. And, days gone by with his wonderful mother Hope (Signy Coleman) must often be questioned. Was his father ever the man who appeared to joyfully play soccer with him on the farm in Kansas, or was that merely some type of game as well?

After hearing Victor tell the judge that he doesn’t believe Adam killed Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman) and that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) likely was behind the frame, it’s natural for Adam to question whether his instincts about the old man were wrong. Yet, what current barometers can he use to confirm the truth. And, is truth itself always relative when Victor Newman is referenced.

Devotees of ‘The Young and the Restless’ were shown Victor’s remembrance of a recent meeting with his latest accomplice, Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Those revealed scenes confirmed how he simultaneously mined her vengeance, while proactively setting his own flesh and blood up to fail. Yes, the title of Leanna Love’s (Barbara Crampton) tell-all biography ‘Ruthless’ remains right.

If Adam opts to return to the family business he’ll surely be given a precarious position. Battles with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are sure to ensue. Yet, Victor is consistently crafty. Deep inside his jaded mind, he merely wants to groom Adam for his own job on ‘The Young and the Restless’.

No one possesses the type of creative morality that’s required to survive in the globalist world more so than the man who survived a fiery crash. Yes, Adam changed his face and grew a few inches through that ordeal, but he’s still the same character. He’ll do anything for his family and was willing to battle all enemies so that the company would survive, as Victor knows so well.
