‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday April 26: Sage Overhears Miscarriage Bomb, Sharon Sets Up DNA Test – Victor and Ian Plan to Use Dr. Gates

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, April 26, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ian (Ray Wise) will have a chat about Dr. Gates (Alicia Coppola). In prison, Victor asks if Ian plans on using Dr. Gates as part of their escape strategy. Ian suggests that Dr. Gates has a soft spot for Victor. They can use that to their advantage if they work together.

Victor extends his hand to shake on it, but Ian punches him near his stitches instead. As Victor leans over in pain, Ian calls for help from the guard. Victor is taken to the infirmary and he questions Dr. Gates about her past. Dr. Gates doesn’t appreciate it when Victor hints that she’s hiding from something. She compares Victor to her father.

Victor continues to grill her, but Dr. Gates sends him back to his cell. Ian stops by again and Victor blows up at him. Vic insists that Ian should never hit him again. Talk turns to Dr. Gates’ father. His name is Russell Gates and he’s head of the review board. He’s quite powerful. Ian suspects Dr. Gates could be their ticket to freedom.

At Crimson Lights, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is disheartened by the changes she’s seeing in Kevin (Greg Rikaart). His involvement with Natalie (Mara McCaffray) has shifted his relationship with Mariah. The Passkey money mess hasn’t helped. Mariah confides in Summer (Hunter King) and the subject of Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) comes up.

Mariah thinks it was dumb of Summer to sleep with Luca. Summer insists it’s what she wanted and she won’t apologize. She announces that she’s taking a break from her relationship with Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan). On her way out, Summer tells Mariah she should open up to Kevin. He needs to know how she feels.

Later, Mariah calls Kevin while he’s indulging in some caviar with Natalie. They share some kisses and Kevin’s phone rings. Mariah doesn’t say anything when Natalie answers.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is grateful to have Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) help. Nick is happy to do it. Sage (Kelly Sullivan) has handled the failed adoption well and she doesn’t seem to need him. Luca comes in and Nick declares that he needs to stay away from Summer. They start to bicker, but Summer interrupts. She states that Nick will have to respect her decision to be with Luca.

Kyle shows up and says he came back to Genoa City to see Abby (Melissa Ordway). However, he points out that it looks like he needs to have a chat with Summer as well. Luca introduces himself and Kyle tosses around a couple of insults.

After Summer and Kyle head off, Victoria speaks with Luca privately. She thinks he wants in at Newman Enterprises. Victoria wonders how much money it would take to make Luca back off. Luca implies that Victoria is pulling a page out of Victor’s playbook. He tells her to keep the cash.

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Sharon (Sharon Case) will struggle to cope with what she’s realizing about Sully. At Sharon’s place, Sage wonders what all the tears are about. Sharon tries to cover, but Sage knows something’s up. When Sharon says maybe they should drop the investigation, Sage doesn’t understand.

Once she’s alone, Sharon tells Sully that she knows he’s her baby. She decides to make sure by bagging up Sage’s drinking glass and ordering a DNA test. Meanwhile, Mariah finds Kevin at Crimson Lights with Natalie. Kevin walks over and Mariah suggests she’s glad they cut her out. If this is how money changes a person, Mariah wants no part of it.

Sage arrives just as Kevin and Natalie are leaving. She gives Mariah updates on the investigation into Nurse Stephens (Jill Lover). A few moments later, Sage exits and Sharon comes in. Mariah starts asking questions and Sage eavesdrops around the corner. She overhears Mariah saying how amazing it was that Sharon got pregnant so quickly after the miscarriage.

In a suite, a drunken Natalie makes a spectacle of herself as she beckons Kevin to the bed. She ends up falling on Kevin before she changes into lingerie. Natalie stubs her toe as she emerges from the bathroom. Kevin gets Natalie some ice to soothe the pain, but she ends up passing out.

Downstairs, Kyle urges Summer to give him another chance. She says things have changed, but she’s grateful Kyle was there when she needed him. Kyle wonders if Summer loves Luca. Summer admits she wants to see where it leads. Kyle thinks Luca is bad news, but Summer won’t discuss it any further. She suggests Kyle shouldn’t miss his flight back to New York.

Kyle gives Summer a farewell kiss and departs. Luca arrives to comfort a tearful Summer. They share a steamy kiss. Did Summer make the right choice? Time will tell, but Y&R rumors hint that Luca could end up hurting Summer. Stick with the CBS soap to see what this slick Santori has in store.
