‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Dylan Ignores Paul’s Orders, Determined To Prove Adam Innocent

'The Young And The Restless' Spoilers: Dylan Ignores Paul's Orders, Determined To Prove Adam InnocentSteve Burton’s character, Dylan, on ‘The Young and the Restless’ is a far cry from Jason, who he portrayed for more than two decades on ‘General Hospital’. This fictional former military man now works for his dad in the Genoa City Police Department. And, his current desire to clear Adam’s (Justin Hartley) name is admirable because he’s opted to look past this apparent criminal’s deep rap sheet.

Paul (Doug Davidson) recently felt compelled to forcibly tell his son that Adam’s case is closed. But, he unofficially rejected that advice because he shares his biological father’s best genetic traits. Dylan’s interest in the so-called “mystery woman”, along with other suspect points, therefore seems likely to push plot paths open in the near future.

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is facing multiple problems on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Her scheme to betray Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plan, whereby she withholds Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) diary pages indefinitely, is very risky. She’s gambling that her puppeteer won’t take Bella (Cali May Kinder) from her and subsequently trigger his exposure as the man who orchestrated Adam’s frame for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman).

Then, there’s the aforementioned Dylan. His belief that Adam was wronged is justified, though he doesn’t yet possess the needed proof to confirm his feelings. If he’s able to keep lines of communication open with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), a break will be gained.

Choosing to accept her former best friend’s offer to live in the penthouse seemed both brash and sassy. Yes, that blatant product placement within this feature winks at ‘The Young and the Restless’ reviving the old-school cosmetic brand in 2016. Yet, that reference was offered because no character is pushing various issues more than Chloe.

Sprinkle Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) rediscovered love for his ex-wife into the mix and Chloe is bound to break eventually, or be broken by Dylan’s persistent detective work. All this because she still blames Adam for accidentally killing Delia (Sophie Pollono). And, as Y&R devotees know, the evidence leveled against him regarding that 2013 tragedy also remains flimsy.
