'The Young and the Restless' RUMOR: Dylan's Exit Nears - Loses Touch With Reality, PTSD Resurfaces‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are speculating that Dylan’s (Steve Burton) mental state will continue to get worse as Steve Burton’s time in Genoa City comes to a close. Young and Restless viewers know that when Dylan was first introduced on the show, he was a man that struggled with his own set of mental issues starting with the PTSD episodes that he endured after leaving the military.

Dylan struggled to get a grip on his emotional issues throughout his entire time on Young and Restless. Just as Dylan seemed to be really doing well at managing his condition, the bottom dropped out once again. So many bad things have gone down with Dylan in the last 3 years and it seems to all be catching up with him now.

In the recent episode of ‘The Young and The Restless’, viewers watched as Dylan’s mental state was beginning to decline once again thanks to his wife, Sharon (Sharon Case) who he learned lied to him for many months regarding the truth about his son “Sully” who was revealed to really be “Christian”, which is really Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) baby with Sage (Kelly Sullivan).

The devastating truth has most definitely taken a serious toll on Dylan. Recently, ‘Y&R’ viewers watched as Dylan has been showing some serious indications that he is slowly losing his grip on reality. We saw Dylan carrying what appeared to be a child but there was nothing in his arms. Just what exactly is happening to Dylan? Is he headed for a complete nervous breakdown? Is his PTSD returning or is Dylan slowly beginning to lose his mind over the devastation that has came into his life recently?

Steve Burton is scheduled to exit the show by the end of the year—which is drawing closer and closer—could Dylan’s mental state be called into question? Will Dylan become suicidal or perhaps another PTSD moment will send him into a Psychiatric hospital for evaluation until his emotional state improves and he is able to cope with the loss of a child that he believed for so long was his.

Nick no doubt will feel responsible for his brother’s emotional state since he is rejecting Dylan from having any part of Christian’s life. Nick is truly unaware just how far Dylan is descending emotionally. Will Dylan’s emotional problems force Nick and Dylan to become closer as brothers and perhaps he will have a change of heart in regards to how he has been treating his brother?
