‘The Young And The Restless’ Interview: Melody Thomas Scott Discusses Paranormal Experiences – Living In A Haunted House

'The Young And The Restless' Interview: Melody Thomas Scott Discusses Paranormal Experiences - Living In A Haunted House“The Young and the Restless” Melody Thomas Scott [Nikki Newman] has lived with spirits – metaphysical entities – since childhood. The Emmy Award-nominated actress has quite a story to share.

Nikki Newman lives with her own set off problems – one of them is Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] who can be a little bit, well, a bit of a dictator. But living with spirits can be downright frightening. More frightening than living with Victor?

In an interview in the most recent issue of CBS Soaps in Depth Melody divulged that at one time she lived in a “truly evil, satanic environment in a home in Sherman Oaks.” The experience shook the actress to her core – there were events that happened in the house that were horrifying. Eventually Melody was forced to move from the home – and thinks someone eventually tore the house of evil down.

Not all of the entities with whom Melody has lived were vicious or diabolical. Most of the unseen visitors were friendly and welcoming. “They weren’t trying to scare me, they just wanted to play,” Melody Thomas Scott revealed in the interview with CBS Soap in Depth.

The home where the actress currently lives with “The Bold and the Beautiful” supervising producer Ed Scott has no friendly or unfriendly spirits. The difference may be that the homes where Melody lived previously were connected to deaths or murders in the houses.

Thomas Scott’s current home is ghost-free. The actress attributes that to the fact that in California there is a law stating if the owner is aware of a death or murder in the house it must be disclosed.  But Melody Thomas Scott doesn’t mind living with these paranormal entities. Unless the spirits intentions are evil, she’s has no problem with sharing living space with them.

Of course Melody realizes there are many who do not believe in spirits. But, according to Melody, it’s not about belief; it’s really all about knowledge. Thomas Scott says, “You don’t know what you don’t know,” and she’s not going to force anyone to believe in what she knows.
