“The Walking Dead” (TWD) spoilers tease a familiar face MAY join the cast for Season 7. Well known actor Harold Perrineau, who is best known for his roles on Zero Dark Thirty and 28 Weeks Later, was seen on the set of TWD in Atlanta on June 6. Rumors immediately picked up steam that Harold may be the actor selected to play Ezekiel.

The Facebook group, The Spoiling Dead Fans, calls the tidbit “a particular rumor.” They stated they heard from AMC, who denied Ezekiel has been cast. So far, they have filmed up to Episode 3 of the season.

“We have no pictures and are going purely by witness reports. A few people at the filming site today said that they think they saw actor Harold Perrineau. Again, we have no concrete evidence on this one,” The Spoiling Dead site wrote.

The Walking Dead Instagram page added more fuel to the fire when they wrote, “Don’t worry #WalkingDead show fans. You’ll get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva next season.” Is it possible they know you’ll meet him because Ezekiel has been cast and already filming?

The Spoiling the Dead page stated that they would continue to track the tidbit until they can either confirm or deny the claim.

WetPaint revealed that Ezekiel is the leader of a group of people referred to as The Kingdom. He has been revered as one of the favorites in the comic series for a long time. He is a former zookeeper and has a pet tiger named Shiva. In an attempt to gain an advantage over Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), he teams up with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Together, they declare war on Negan and the Saviors. How it plays out—no one knows. The battle will be a focal point of Season 7 on The Walking Dead.
