Soap Opera Digest’s 40th Anniversary Was an All-Star Hollywood Event – Check Out Photos Of Who Made the Scene

Soap Opera Digest (SOD) just celebrated their 40^th anniversary and the print magazine showed off in a big way with a star-studded event on Wednesday, February 24 at The Argyle Hollywood. Tons of soap stars showed and the night was a huge success. Check out these pics from the gala.

Trio of ‘General Hospital’ babes Brytni Sarpi [Valerie Spencer], Kirsten Storms [Maxie Jones] and Emme Rylan [Lulu Spencer] all hung out together. Forget the drama – these ladies are fast friends despite their GH rivalry on-screen!

Emme Rylan was also caught hanging with her on-screen hubby Dominic Zamprogna [Dante Falconeri] and her evil power-hungry GH brother Tyler Christopher [Nikolas Cassadine]. Nice that they could put the GH scheming aside to hang out.

‘The Young and The Restless’ also had a big showing and Camryn Grimes [Mariah Copeland], Sean Carrigan [Stitch Rayburn], Christel Khalil [Lily Winters] and Kate Linder [Esther Valentine]. These four look happy to be partying with their soap colleagues!

From ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘All My Children’, Kassie DePaiva [Eve Larson] and Eva LaRue [Mario Santos] took time to catch up. Nice that LaRue stopped by to hang with soap pals even though she’s moved on to prime time TV.

Soap vets also showed up to wow the crowd. Beth Maitland [Traci Abbott] from Y&R was on hand and legendary Gloria Loring [Liz Chandler] from DOOL spent time together and with Kassie DePaiva at the SOD celebration.

The Logans from ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ had a nice showing at the event as well. Heather Tom [Katie Logan] chilled with on-screen niece Ashley Jones [Bridget Forrester]. No Logan family in-fighting at this event – it was all fun and games. Katherine Kelly Lang [Brooke Logan] was on her best behavior!

Especially exciting to see were two GH fan faves – one dead and one who recently returned from the dead. Ian Buchanan [Duke Lavery] and Jeffrey Vincent Parise [Carlos Rivera] had some bro time. Guess Duke isn’t holding a grudge that Carlos put a bullet in him!

Ooh and guess who took a turn spinning in the DJ booth? Jacqueline MacInnes Wood [Steffy Forrester] from B&B kept the SOD party hopping with her mad skills…

It was a solid showing for the Salem crew with Mary Beth Evans [Kayla Brady], Stephen Nichols [Steve Johnson], Matthew Ashford [Jack Deveraux], Kyle Lowder [Brady Black], Jen Lilley [Theresa Donovan], and Eric Martsolf [Brady Black]. The DOOL gang looks tight.

Y&R and B&B crossover moments included a man hug of Peter Bergman [Jack Abbott, Y&R], Ronn Moss [Ridge Forrester], Michael Corbett [David Kimble]. Nice to see the old guard represented at the SOD 40^th anniversary party!

DOOL’s Alison Sweeney [Sami Brady], Lauren Koslow [Kate Roberts], and Kristian Alfonso [Hope Brady] were also in attendance and enjoying some time with the Salem sisterhood at the anniversary shindig.
