‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Scotty And Andre Team Up To Keep Anna Out Of Pentonville For Carlos Shooting

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that although Anna Devane [Finola Hughes] is facing felony attempted murder charges for trying to fill Carlos Rivera [Jeffrey V Parise] full of lead, she’ll have two men devote themselves to keeping her out of Pentonville – and that could make all the difference.

Felicia Scorpio [Kristina Wagner] and Mac Scorpio [John J York] will hire Anna a lawyer and they choose Scotty Baldwin [Kin Shriner] to represent her. The good thing about Scotty is that he’ll play hardball and thinks outside the box. GH spoilers reveal that Scotty comes up with a compelling approach to her case.

Scotty will have Dr Andre Maddox [Anthony Montgomery] working with him on Anna’s defense. We know that Andre goes down to the PCPD this week to do a psychological evaluation on a prisoner – and it looks like it’s Anna he’ll be meeting with because Andre is concerned about her recent actions.

Anna shot Carlos in cold blood – that part is true. But she also did it hot on the heels of losing the man she loved – Duke Lavery [Ian Buchanan] – and was very emotional at the time. We’re wondering if Scotty and Andre might cook up a plea for Anna of emotional duress of some sort.

The bottom line is that Carlos is alive and wasn’t even injured in the shooting incident – even though she did intend to kill him. Plus, if DA Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] is out of jail and handling the case, it’s not likely he’ll pursue the matter vigorously since he’s got a major crush on Anna.

One surprising asset to Anna’s legal defense may be Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard]. Scotty and Sonny really hate each other, but Sonny has a lot of respect for Anna and doesn’t want to see Duke’s woman go to jail. GH spoilers reveal that Sonny will do what he can to help Anna as well.

Jordan Ashford [Vinessa Antoine] may also play into Anna’s defense. Jordan admires Anna and doesn’t want to see her in Pentonville for life but Jordan had no choice but to arrest Anna. If Jordan can help Anna out without risking her job, she might do that.

The only person who wants to see Anna behind bars is Carlos – we’ll him taunting Anna at the PCPD lockup in coming days. But no one cares what Carlos wants anyway. It would be a real shame if Anna ends up at Pentonville but all the real criminals in Port Chuck go free…
