‘General Hospital’ News: Stephen Jared Joins GH Cast As Skipper Edgar

General Hospital spoilers have revealed that Stephen Jared has joined the GH cast as Skipper Edgar, and according to GH comings and goings news, Edgar will make his debut in the episode airing on December 5.

There seems to be some major disagreements brewing on social media and message boards between GH fans as to who exactly Skipper Edgar is.  Is he a minor character that will roll in to town and blow the Morgan Corinthos murder investigation wide open?  Or is Skipper Edgar simply just a skipper working at the docks or on a boat, with one or two lines in passing?

For argument’s sake, it is worth noting that Stephen Jared has a pretty lengthy list of credits on IMDB and he has been working steadily since the late 1990’s, so it would be a little frivolous to waste the actor on a minor character that gets a total of 30 seconds of screen time.  But, if Stephen Jared’s casting is a big deal, wouldn’t TPTB at General Hospital have shared the news by now?
