‘General Hospital’ News: Friday March 11 ‘GH’ Episode Preempted – Details Here!

‘General Hospital‘ will be preempted on Friday March 11, no episode of the ABC soap opera will be airing tomorrow.  According to a press release from ABC, they will be airing a live broadcast of the late first lady Nancy Reagan’s funeral during the ‘General Hospital’ time-slot.  Soap Opera Digest has confirmed that the episode that was scheduled to air on Friday March 11 be pushed to Monday March 14.

According to the official press release from the network, “ABC News will broadcast the funeral service of former First Lady Nancy Raegan on Friday, March 11 beginning at approximately 2 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network and will be streamed live across ABC News’ digital platforms, including ABCNews.com and ABC News’ mobile and OTT platforms.”

The press release goes on to reveal that the funeral will be covered by the following news anchors: Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos, ABC News Anchor Barbara Walters, ABC News Political Analyst Cokie Roberts and Presidential Historian Mark Updegrove.
