A new BET series called ‘Rebel’ will soon debut on the network and daytime alum Bree Williamson is a part of it. Williamson who just landed the role of Nathan’s [Ryan Paevey] ex, Claudette on ‘General Hospital’ shared “Super stoked about this new show I get to work on!” This post was accompanied by an image of her holding on to her new script.

BET is apparently stepping up its game by ordering original series for its network. Rebel is one of them – it is an interesting detective drama created by John Singleton. The series is a 42 minute running time serial picked up by BET with an order for eight episodes for its first season which will premiere sometime in late 2016/early 2017.
Variety, early this year in April, described the series as one that “revolves around a female police officer in Oakland, Calif., who becomes a private investigator after her brother is killed by police.”At this point the show has not released any details as to what role Williamson will play nor who other members of the cast are.
While we await more details on this new series, Williamson fans can catch her debut in the role of Claudette with her first air date set for sometime in July. Williamson’s role as Claudette will no doubt be interesting. Claudette may show up in Port Charles wanting to reunite with her ex husband and this could pose problems for Nathan and Maxie [Kirsten Storms]. However by the time Williamson debuts Maxie may have a new face with Molly Burnett in the role.
Williamson is also well known for her role as Jessica Buchanan on ‘One Life to Live’. We can’t wait to see what she brings to GH and Rebel, what about you fans?
