Daytime Soap Stars Pay Tribute to Prince – Twitter Flooded with Condolences on the Loss of a LegendWhen news broke today that Prince Rogers Nelson passed away at age 57, Twitter exploded with tributes to the legend whose music moved generations. Soap stars were among the many who shared their sadness at his passing. Here’s a look at Prince from actors from your favorite soaps – General Hospital, The Young and The Restless, The Bold and The Beautiful, and Days of Our Lives.

Rebecca Budig (Hayden, GH) tweeted “Prince defined my childhood and may have been his biggest fan. I’m so saddened to hear of his early death. RIP #Prince”

Lauren Koslow (Kate, DOOL) tweeted “Prince the Immortal” and then shared a pic of the artist with some song lyrics from his hit Kiss.

Karla Mosley (Maya, B&B) quoted Prince’s Let’s Go Crazy when she tweeted sharing “But there’s something else. The afterworld. A world of never ending happiness. Where you can always see the sun – day or night. #Prince”

Bradford Anderson (Damien, GH) shared a photo of himself and daughter Juna together listening to Prince’s Raspberry Beret with #RIPPrince – that shows the intergenerational appeal of the artist.

Chris McKenna (Dr Hayden, B&B – Ex-Mark, Y&R) tweeted “I’m without words. Possibly the greatest musical mind of my time. This is what it sounds like when doves cry. #RIPPrince”

Jason Thompson (Billy, Y&R – ex-Patrick GH) shared simply #Prince and retweeted other music legend George Wallace.

Tamara Braun (Ex-Carly, GH and Ava, DOOL) tweeted “Sometimes it snows in April. #Prince #RIP” which is a reference to Prince’s song of the same name from Under the Cherry Moon.

Max Ehrich (Ex-Fenmore Baldwin, Y&R) shared a short video on Instagram of him playing piano and singing with a pal in a tribute to Prince tweeting “Singing to the #Prince”

Kristoff St John (Neil, Y&R) kindly reminded others in his tweet that another life was lost today, Chyna, the groundbreaking lady wrestler also died today.

Rome Flynn (Zende, B&B) shared a sad thought when he tweeted, “I have this great fear that the few people I call my idols will die before I meet them. The list is getting shorter. #RIPPrince”

Sonya Eddy (Epiphany, GH) recollected on all the great musical deaths in the past few years and added that Rogers Nelson was her “Sweet #Prince”

Cady McClain (Kelly, Y&R – Dixie, AMC) tweeted passionately “Prince, the great rock and roll artist, is dead. Feel like I’ve been punched in the stomach. A great musician… #RIPPrince”

Kathleen Gati (Liesl, GH) chimed in as well tweeting about her love of Prince’s music and retweeting the Rolling Stone announcement of the artist’s demise.

Camryn Grimes (Mariah, Y&R) was short and sweet in her tweet writing “Losing legends all over the place. #RIPPrince”

Eric Martsolf (Brady, DOOL) thanked Prince for the music in his tweet and shared an RIP to #Prince.

Emily Wilson (Ellie, GH) said a thanks in her farewell tweet “Thank you for all the joy you brought to my and so many other lives. #heartbroken #RIPPrince”

Sean Kanan (Deacon, B&B – ex-AJ, GH) shared his thoughts and thanks on the artist that we lost today with this tweet.

The passing of Prince Rogers Nelson who we first knew as Prince, then the Artist Formerly Known as Prince when he changed his name to a symbol for a while (remember that) and then Prince once again – has galvanized all of us to put aside our difference and grieve in agreement that today a legend was lost.

#RIPPrince – we all know that “nothing compares 2 u” and no one can every replace you.
