“Days of Our Lives” Interview: Deidre Hall Humbled By “DOOL” Memorabilia Addition to Smithsonian – Discusses Filming On The Set of “Club 5150”“Days of Our Lives” Deidre Hall [Marlena Evans] is not only an icon in daytime drama, the actress and her character Dr. Marlena Evans are now part of American history. Deidre had the honor of presenting the “DOOL” items to the Smithsonian’s Museum of American History.

Having the original script from Marlena’s infamous possession storyline was quite humbling. Deidre was interviewed for the most recent ABC Soaps in Depth and revealed that it was a “huge sustaining honor.” The only thing missing from the prestigious ceremony. Hall would have loved to share the moment with her parents. It is one of those times that as an adult you wish your parents were alive to share in your success, Deidre mused.

If Deidre Hall had the opportunity to stretch her acting wings what role would Hall enjoy playing? After 40+ years in the acting business Hall has never taken on the challenge of portraying someone with a disability. TPTB at “Days of Our Lives” may want to consider writing in a storyline that would involve Marlena having a hearing disability. Did you know Deidre has studied sign language and is able to communicate quite effectively?

Recently Deidre had a chance to film an episode of the web series “Club 5150.” She worked with Crystal Carson (ex-Julia Barrett, “General Hospital”), and Eden Riegel {ex-Bianca Montgomery, “All My Children”).  Hall enjoyed the one-day shoot for “Club 5150”and divulged to ABC Soaps in Depth that it was fun to do something different after portraying Malena for so many years on “Days of Our Lives”.
