The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jessica Collins Exit – Will Avery Clark Be Killed Off?

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers and casting news reveal that Jessica Collins is exiting the CBS soap. Collins has played the part of Dylan McAvoy’s girlfriend and fiancée since 2011, and is currently caught up in a messy love triangle with Dylan (Steve Burton), and her former husband Joe Clark (Scott Elrod). According to an all new report from Daytime Confidential, Jessica Collins’s exit is currently being kept under wraps by TPTB at “The Young and the Restless,” and there is no news yet on whether Jessica opted to quit the show, or she is being fired.

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers from Daytime Confidential tease that Avery Clark’s big exit has already been written – and then rewritten by head writer Chuck Pratt. Apparently, the original storyline was so “heinous” that network executives shut it down and forced Pratt and his team to go a different route. It sounds like Avery isn’t just leaving Genoa City, but the writers planned to kill off the character in a rather violent way. Daytime Confidential’s inside sources dished, “What Chuck originally planned for Avery would have been the worst thing the soap had ever done. It would have been Armageddon.”

Avery’s character’s stories have fallen rather flat among audiences, so it’s not exactly a shock that the writers are plotting her exit. Jill Farren Phelps hoped to make Dylan and Avery Genoa City’s next super couple – but Y&R fans didn’t even bat an eye when the couple got engaged, so the writers had no choice but to break them up and put Dylan with Sharon Newman. One thing is for sure, it will definitely be interesting to see how the writers stage Avery’s exit – and if she is killed off, how she meets her fate.

So Y&R fans, will you be sad to see Jessica Collins go? How do you think she will exit?

I would prefer Sharon’s character leave the show.

Me too!!! However, I guess they’re going to use Sharon to kill Avery off. Sharon in prison, I could live with that for a long time!!!!

Sorry to see Jessica Collins leave the show. She is a great actor and has a beautiful smile. Good luck to her in the future.

Do not kill of Avery. She and Dylan should get back together. They are powerful. They are fresh and interesting. Dylan and Sharon together make a sad couple, boring

Oh no, Ol’ Chuck and JFP must destroy this show a little more, day by day.

I really loathe that Chuck Pratt’s inclination was to write her off in a painful, frightening murder. He has brought nothing but darkness to Y&R since his arrival- of course he’d want to squash someone so warm and lovely. This soap won’t survive (perhaps that’s the goal?) if his ‘vision’ is the prevailing viewpoint going forward. He couldn’t write a character driven plot if HIS career depended on it. Plot driven swill is the the order of the day. Yuck. Shame on you CBS.

It’s time she goes, her character is boring.

Please get your act together writers. You guys are messing up the show.

Dont kill off Avery. She is one of the prettiest woman on the show. Her and Dylan belong together. I don’t see any chemistry between Sharon and Dylan looks more like brother and sister

It’s disappointing to know that JC is leaving. I was really pushing for her and Dylan. And the fact that Chuck Pratt wanted to kill her off is disturbing. I don’t know what CP is trying to do but I don’t like the direction he’s going in. Y&R has been successfully all these years because of the “realness” of the characters and storylines.

CBS needs to fire Chuck Pratt and Jill Farren Phelps, along with all underlings beneath them that they have “tainted”. Go back to the old ways.

Please don’t kill Avery-I love her character! She is sensible, plays a very compassionate lawyer always willing to help anyone who is in need. I don’t like the storyline now with Joe.He needs to move on and let Avery and Dylan reunite. They were good together and been through so much together. They deserve another chance. Get rid of that whining Sharon-she is so needy and has slept with almost everyone on the show. Who does that in real life! I know it’s a soap opera!! She’s so clingy-I don’t like women who are like that-everyone should be more independent and stand on their own two feet instead of being a crybaby to a man.

I like Avery , please kick annoying Sharon Newman off the show for a while. Get rid of the Flack (fake Jack) storyline , it’s boring and we’ve seen it before on several occasions

Sharon is the one that needs to go along with her brat kid “Faith”….Avery is a Great Actress. This show is going down hill so bad. They get 4 or 5 different story lines going and make them all last FOREVER.. I have watched this show since 1973! Get rid of Sharon and Christine!!

If you want to kill someone off, please let it be Cricket…Can’t stand her!!

I have to agree she is annoying!
